  1. Stupid phone won't let this response go away
  2. Too many idiots commenting on hearsay on this post. The chance of injury during a project graduation volleyball game is comical. A player looking out for his health that wasn't allowed to go through his proper warm routine is selfish? Believe me, the KIDS know the true story. They're united and I hope they can get it together and have a great outcome in district play. If not, at least they're learning life lessons. Some people seem to think they're best friends with these kids because they follow them on twitter, etc lol. These are some great kids with outstanding character. They also have some amazing, giving parents. Everyone looking for drama will have to look elsewhere, sorry. Good day!
  3. Top heavy by maybe one team unless PNG gets it together imho
  4. Being not very good in a down district is not good.
  5. This was a very opportune time to teach this "life lesson" as everyone calls this. Coach knows he MUST win at least one of these three games over five days to stay viable in district. His district caliber pitching is very limited. He now has his best pitching for the next two games that are much more winnable. GCM has shown itself to be the cream of the district crop so far this year and it's hardly a surprise. Risking injury in a project graduation volleyball game sounds pretty absurd to me but if the coach told them not to do it, that should be the end of it. Here's to a big W today for the Raiders!
  6. Game is in Lumberton. Wind blowing out pretty good.
  7. It'll be interesting to see who pitches for the Raiders. This game starts three tough games in 5 days for them.
  8. I just saw a pic of when Alec broke his leg btw....Ugh! I hear his surgery went well and he should make a full recovery. Prayers for a quick and mostly painless one.
  9. Mason Sikes played goalie the last half of the last two seasons after he finished basketball. He didn't play at all this year. He signed with Lamar to play tight end for them next year. Pretty good goalie also.
  10. Seems like Lumberton missed their big goalie this year. The last few games were ugly.
  11. I guess you're right then. It's PNG's fault the kid kicked the ref. They should punish them I guess. There's an obvious pattern of ref-kick-provoking. ;-)
  12. Probably because kids get tired of getting beat by the same team over and over. Pretty common actually.
  13. Cocky, swag, whatever you want to call it. If a kid can't handle smack talk at the high school level, he should probably do something else. It's called self control. That's taught at home.
  14. Talking smack is a little different than assaulting an official bud. Duh. Kids talk smack in every high school sport. You've seen it, haven't attended any sports games, or you're blind. I'm not a PNG supporter btw and the PNG boys soccer team are a cocky group. No excuse.
  15. He came out onto the field near the goal to yell at the referee about a non-call. The ref said go back to your bench. Coach kept yelling and got a yellow. Was told to go to the bench again. Said no. Got a red.
  16. Sounds like someone is gonna be in some pretty big trouble here. The coach will be suspended by the UIL for his actions and should lose his job. The kid is gonna get charged at some degree. There are laws in Texas to protect referees. It could range from harassment, menacing, to 3 levels of assault I believe. All over a game. Stupid. SMDH
  17. [Hidden Content] Ugh, Abilene....
  18. Congrats to the winners and everyone nominated. Spectacular accomplishments!!!
  19. School size doesn't matter as much for baseball, especially for a pitcher imo.
  20. It's sad when a few parents end up running the show. Coach Harris will hopefully land on his feet and be happy when he is eventually in a better place to further his career. Coaching is a tough job because of this very thing. It shouldn't be a "political office" type job, but that's what it can turn into. It happens all the time these days. I also don't have the disposition for it. It was hard enough in little league and youth football to try and keep my mouth shut, but at least it didn't affect my family much. I know I'm aging myself but, the coaches in my day were some mean son of a guns but we respected them. No telling what we all had back then when we weren't ran off to the emergency room. I know I definitely ran a few sprints with shin splits in my day and it hurt like hell. Welcome back to mediocrity HF.
