Some people don't like them but I do.
I love too.  Some say that they turn mushy after freezing, but I never found that to be true.
Maybe if they make sushi out of them.  :D Fried they are great.
 2.
Question for you offshore guys.  I'm looking at a 2005 Robalo r240 with twim yamaha 150's.  What is your impression of this boat for light offshore(Maybe up to 50 miles)
I have been out to about 30 miles in an 18 foot with a single 135 Merc on the back (not that I was intelligent). I would think the R240 with two Yamahas would be easily a good offshore boat.

Almost no bait seen in the water.
where'd you try to get some bait at??
Where we fished under some of the lights near downtown PA. I think the heavy rains from the last week have killed the fishing for now. I work with a guy that guides on the weekends and they fished a tounament today and caught three keepers in several hours of hard fishing on the south end and at the jetties. Another guy that I work with that fishes all of the time did not catch a keeper gamefish of any kind in the same tourney. A few days and it will probably be back up and running full force if we don't get any more heavy rains.
Go to photobucket or imageshack. They are free services (although they all try to sell you something) that allow you to upload photos or videos to your personal media page. Each photo or video has its own webpage and you can post that webpage on here but putting [img][/img] around the page. I know on photobucket, you click on the post photo option below the picture and it adds that automatically for you. I use photobucket. Go to that and sign up for the free account much like signing up for this forum. Then start posting away.

GRRRR
After I caught them twice in a row the last few days, a couple of friends went out Saturday night and only caught two keeper trout. I guess the last few days of rain have again pushed them south. We sure have been getting a lot of rain in the last month. I like rain as much as the next guy but a break would be nice or maybe some small showers and not these gushers that we have been getting.
i went to the terminal next to the coke dock and worked my way along the channel at any light i can find.  Saw a lot of movement and bait fish but couldnt find any trout
They are with the bait but we are having a hard time finding bait right now. Four weeks ago you could wade across the ship channel on shad. Now I have a hard time finding any. That is why I want the rain to stop.

 12.
dont know yet!  any suggestions
Anywhere that you can find lights at night. We have been killing them in the ship channel.
A three base hit is a grand slam?  ;D
I have been catching a bunch of baby sand trout in a cast net.... and the specks have no problems eating their cousins. If I throw in the croaker and sand trout too maybe?   :/
I

 16.
People in the work force get tested so why not test teachers/coaches/admin and especially bus drivers.
That is true but in my mind, what an adult does to his own body is his business from an employment standpoint. As long as it does not interfere with his job or endanger the public I don't really care. Now with teachers/admin, etc., I can understand the performance aspect of it. The employee needs to show up and ready to do the job. From a law enforcement perspective, I understand the fact that it can be a crime but is it the business of a school district to be enforcing or investigating criminal law? Their business should be to make sure that their employees show up on time and ready to do their job. If a substance interferes with that then it is an issue and even with a legal substance like alcohol. Children/students are a different issue entirely. What we do or require from or for children to protect them in no way has any relation to what an adult employee does. It is not tit for tat.
 17.
I say continue the testing.  I am one of those that believes that the confirmed cases are so low because of the deterrent effect of the testing. The $1 million in scheme of things is not that big of a price tag when we are talking about the health of our young men and women.  In fact, that is an amount that should not even touch the taxpayers.  As discussed in an earlier thread, by the next re-alignment, Texas will have almost 200 more teams in the playoffs games, which amounts to about 100 more playoff games which the UIL gets 15% of the gross...and that is just football.  All other sports pay a portion of the gross in post-season games to the UIL.   Off of this alone, they have more than enough to pay for a testing program in Texas.
You are correct.
 18.
Where were they bank fishing? Under lights? live or artificial?
Bank fishing under the lights. Last night all were on artificial.
 19. They are back again tonight. I watched a couple of coworkers put a couple on the bank that were over 20" and a few other keepers by the time I left.

CRAP!
You would have loved it last night, especially if you just wanted to catch fish. I caught almost 30 and they were still hitting when I left.
live bait or soft plastics?
All of the above. I couldn't find much live bait but when I did find some, I lost it in less than a minute. I got tired of using the cast net. I finally caught the most on about a 2.5" shad looking lure that I had just bought at Academy. It looked about the right size, shape and color of the shad so I tried it. I am heading back for some more. Like flyfishing, match the hatch. Throw a bait at 'em that looks like what they are eating.
That is not funny if its your kid at QB :D
Maybe. If he is the 5th quarterback, he gets the win at LCM.  ;D
 23. You know, I guess for a forum anything is game for discussion but Nederland and LCM don't play for several months. It could almost as valid discussing their chances in the 2012 season.  :D

 25. The specks are moving back north again.. finally. I did a spur of the moment trip late Thursday night. I started fishing about 11:15PM and finished about 1:15AM. I took home 8 keeper specks with the biggest being a little over 18". I caught 16 others that were undersized or right at the 15" mark and I didn't want to chance it. [IMG][Hidden Content]]
