Travel is not always an issue across all sports because the districts are different. Look at the PNG/Ned football district compared to baseball. The baseball district has less travel.

Your 5k number is misleading. Like many school districts, Aledo ISD serves more than just one town. They have around 34k people living within the Aledo ISD area. this is not an argument for or against what you’re saying. I’m just adding clarification.

Im surprised it’s not more. LC has gotten a bit better since they played PNG the first district game but not a ton.

Tepper picking PNG to win the region was a business decision. There’s always a chance that png could beat SOC like they have once before, but I don’t see it this year.

If west fork wins the district records would be a 3 way tie for fourth but you’re probably right that WF would still be out based on head to head records. LC last went to Texarkana in 2020.
