Yeah the district alignment is another separate issue, but I can understand the challenge in trying to make even districts with new schools and population changes across the state. All of district 8 should have been in region 3, and the Waco district 10 should have been in region 2.

That’s too bad. Now PNG is all that’s left in the district. Let’s see if they can survive next week.

It didn’t impact Dayton because they didn’t make the playoffs. Ned was definitely screwed though having to drive up to Texarkana. And we’ll see how well Huntsville does today against SOC.

PNG sneaking away with 1st in division was big considering who they got to play this week. This reminds me that because winning the division can be such an advantage in the playoffs, I don’t typically get upset when teams run up the score during the regular season (within reason). You never know when point spreads might come into play for district tiebreaker scenarios. With that said, if you’re good enough none of that should matter. The best teams will keep winning against anyone!

Hasn’t SOC always had easy district schedules though? That has not impacted their recent playoff performances.

They did at the 2023 MCM game and also against Rouse but maybe that was it last year.

I wonder what internet setup NDN press uses. The Huntsville live YouTube feeds don’t seem to have the same streaming issues, even when they are away.

Ha I know some that went to NHS will still root for PNG, but the only times I could bring myself to were when they played SOC. 😆

Every other sport that plays on Tuesdays and Thursdays have to. Football shouldn’t be the exception.

There will always be an odd Thursday game here or there. It is what it is.

Nederland lost by 47 points in the first round last year and only lost by 42 this year. Improvement is improvement. 😀 But seriously, I do believe the program will continue on an upward trend the next few years.

There’s only so much a new coach can improve in his first year and Texas high is a top tier team.

It look like this game will be on both Texan Live and NFHS. is there an advantage to one subscription over the other? Which tend to have the most games throughout the playoffs?
