I saw CE King play Goose Creek at the Jamboree Friday before last. I knew King has a good team, good guards. GCM barely won. A CE King fan told me in the stands that their best player is out with a hand fracture. He went up for a dunk and someone under cut him, in a game earlier this year.

Silsbee got too much heart & character to lose this one. I guess they say "if we gotta get beat down twice in 3 days by BU so be it"

I like Argyle & no shot clocks when they can potentially knock off a team I want to lose.

My bad for being critical of the young man. I literally just found out he existed yesterday. I watched the WB v Silsbee game online. I did not know or notice him. He talks about his faith a lot. I like and respect that. He is graduating early so he is smart. You can't teach 6'9". Somebody will give him a chance. A lot of scouts will. Lamar could use some height. Nothing wrong with being tall and a good student. There is definitely more to life than being a PF or SF who wrecks things on court. And that may happen as well.

Argyle is moving up to 5A. I wish they would take FF with them.

I don't think Carter has ever won state in basketball.

Now FF & BU in this tournament that would be something.

FF taking up all the talent prolly has something to do with that.

Don't many 3A teams get invited to tournaments like this year in and year out. They got 15 state tournament appearances and 6 or 7 championship trophies. By hook or by crook, they got them and they can't be taken away. I respect that. That kind of history opens doors. The silver lining is they go to district and the 3A playoffs battle tested and ready for another run to the state tournament.

Lubbock Estacado won 3A state that year. 3A then is 4A now.

BU could beat them no doubt, but teams like Mad & SOC play against so many talented teams on a weekly basis. I doubt seriously if they are intimidated.

This is just tournament season. The playoffs & the state tournaments are going to be awesome.

I remember Silsbee lost to a Dallas team. I thought it was Lincoln, but it could have been Madison. Guard Philbrick Hill was on that Silsbee team. A picture of him and some Dallas player was on the cover of a UIL magazine.

Did that 6'9" guy Christian Dews play for Westbrook when Silsbee beat them? How did that happen?

I could be wrong but I think Silsbee plays either SOC or CE King Friday @ 730pm. I saw CE King vs Goose Cry Mem. They are good. SOC is a legendary program, like Madison.
