S&P 500 Hits All-Time High On Biden Inauguration Day
Separation Scientist replied to InMAGAWeTrust's topic in Political Forum
The Dems are the ones with buyers remorse. Why? Inflation by far hits their demographic the most. In fact, the "rich get richer" right now. The wealthy own equities, real estate, commodities, and other investments. All are a hedge against Bidens inflation. The typical Dem lives on Government handouts, and spends way more proportionally on things like gas and food. So, which group do you think has done better recently? If you can't figure it out, at least you can be confident most everybody in middle America (the swing votes) has. You will soon see it in the mid term elections, just a few months away. The democrats are about to get SLAUGHTERED at the polls. -
S&P 500 Hits All-Time High On Biden Inauguration Day
Separation Scientist replied to InMAGAWeTrust's topic in Political Forum
And you think Biden is to be credited with that? Biden also tries to take credit for Trumps Warp Speed vaccination program, but Trump developed it. Biden inherited GREAT economic tailwinds from Trump. Trumps economy has rocketed the nations GDP, and the equity markets forward. Economies are like a huge cargo ship. They typically don't screech to a stop and "turn on a dime". Policies take years to implement and the results show up in the following years. For example, you are just now seeing Biden's runway inflation taking hold. It took a year to do so. Watch what happens after another year or two under Biden. I don't think the economy (and eventually the markets) will like Bidens soaring taxes, soaring deficits, runaway inflation, and $5 gas. -
As far as BH is concerned, moving up to 5A-1 does not make a huge difference in competition, and it really gives us a compact district travel wise. Crazy compact. I am happy with it as it stands now. Unfortunately 5A-ll fans are in for some long drives, it looks like.

China Spring HC Bell resigning
Separation Scientist replied to Tiger33's topic in High School Football
If that small statement "took something away from him" then he really has nothing! All I did was say something that everyone else curiously left out. So is it the truth, or not??? I see you have 631 posts here in this forum. I bet I could EASILY parse and critique all of them and find dozens of example where you "could have said something different". I am so sick of this hurt feelings-snowflake culture! If you are wounded that easily please don't read any message boards! Something somewhere will bother you! -
China Spring HC Bell resigning

OMG I did NOT say it was ALL about connections, nor did I try to spin any kind of "privilege" accusation, nor is there any "victimhood" or "insanity" here. I don't know what set you off but its totally unnecessary. All I did was mention a small but relevant piece of information that is indeed noteworthy to the topic. I am so sorry your feeling are hurt so bad about what I mentioned. I did not mean to trigger you or anyone else. I swear its almost impossible to express any independent thought without inadvertently triggering someone along the way. People in every industry do use connections to advance. Coaching is just another one, it apparently was indeed a factor here. Its not new by any means and its no big secret. I am sincerely happy for him, and happy China Springs won State. Dang. -

I think I read somewhere here Newton is dropping to 2A. If so they ought to win State real easy. -

Not disputing you, but curious, if you combine the two enrollments what class and division do they land in? -
I want the UIL to decide the best for everyone, and the chips fall where they may. With that said, I hope Crosby stays in D-1 with BH. I think BH-Crosby-PAM would have some great games, but I am happy with whatever happens. Just ready to start the next season already!

We will see how it goes Feb. 3, 9AM.

China Spring HC Bell resigning
Separation Scientist replied to Tiger33's topic in High School Football
Not to take anything away from him, but I think his Dad was the coach at China Springs before him. He had natural coaching connections and opportunities that many do not have. I wish him all the best. -
I don't think there is any way BH goes back down. As for Crosby, I am not totally sure they have to push someone down if someone opts up. It may just increase the total number of schools in 5A-I. I say this because the number of schools in each division vary, 6A had 246, 5A had 253, 4A had 206, and so on. Adding one or two Opt-Ups would not significantly change anything. What could possibly push Crosby down is if a school opts up that logistically needs to land in Crosby's district and there is no room for them. I am not sure of any of this, its just my view. Maybe others here know the details better. I think Feb. 3 is the announcement date.

Way too early, but going off DCTF's realignment district, this is what I think: Crosby Port Arthur Memorial Barbers Hill Humble Kingwood Park Baytown Lee Baytown Sterling New Caney Porter La Porte Goose Creek Memorial

Taking into account recent realignments up or down, players graduating and players returning, coaching changes, etc. who are the favorites in each classification locally? Who rises, who stays steady, and who falls? Any new District champs in the making?

reigning this in. This is the biggest topic in HS football in this area for quite some time. I don't want the thread locked. You can take all this to the political forum if you want. I can handle a little bit of speculation about the motivations of the hiring committee, but you went waaaaaaay off the beaten path. -
Liberty Hill vs. Crosby/ POST UPDATES HERE
Separation Scientist replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
Same is true for the Houston region. Houston and Austin has pretty much got the better of Dallas lately. Take out Aledo and Argyle and not much is left for Dallas unless you pull in the Kyler Murry Allen teams a while back. -
Timpson vs. Shiner/Post updates here

I have a ton of respect for both these teams. There was zero quit in Timpson. They made it a great game. Hate to see either one lose. -

I agree, Franklin should be the favorite against anyone, including Gunter. -

I don't think "everyone" thinks that. I sure don't. Franklin goes coast to coast and wins it all this year, IMO. -

They will need to be salty this week. They get Shiner, who just blew out #1 Refugio. -
Uh, he mentioned "first round -- Manvel". I was correct, stay out of 4th place if you don't want to see Manvel. Now if you want to discuss the others thats a different topic.
