The second and third seeds are interchangeable. Texas City has the talent to do better. We'll see whether they can pair it with the coaching and execution. Until then, I think the Stingarees are the perennial fourth seed. I feel confident the Indians take the district championship next year. Jeff Joseph is building something in Port Neches. And I hate to say this (honestly), but I don't think Nederland will return to its winning ways next year.

10-4ADI:

1. LC-M
2. Lumberton
3. Vidor
4. Livingston

Same as 9-5ADII. The top three are interchangeable. LC-M is my dark horse pick to win district next year. This will be Peevey's third season at the helm of the program, and I think we're going to start to see it pay off.

9-4ADII:

1. Silsbee
2. Jasper
3. WO-S
4. H-F

I don't enjoy saying this. I don't think we're going to see WO-S at the top of the district again until they bring back the Mustang defense. You know, the real one. Until then, I just don't see Silsbee losing the district crown, or Jasper being dethroned as runner-up.  Hamshire-Fannett could fall out of the playoff line-up, but I suspect we'll see the Longhorns turn into the recurring fourth seed in this district.

I'm still debating the 6A and 5ADI standings. I only feel confident saying two things at this time: (1) PAM will be a contender as always (and I really hope they make a deeper run next year); and (2) I don't think West Brook or United will make much noise.

Im not sure that LCM is capable of beating Lumberton or Vidor despite the transfers they are getting. I would have it as: 

1. L-train

2. Vidor 

3. Livingston 

4. LCM or Huffman

Big win for the Indians, great job getting that first win. 

Warming up last week at HJ last week Anahuac looked as good as any teams as we have seen. They definitely have all the size and physicality to be good. 

Im so proud of the team and the community for supporting them, finishing the year as one of the top 2 teams in 5A Division II is nothing to hang our heads about. How South Oak Cliff can participate in 5A athletics is beyond me, Dallas & Port Neches-Groves  are not pulling from the same pool of high school kids.

I remember there were some guys on here dogging our Indians for an early season scrimmage, Playing Christmas time football sure is fun!

Magical season continues, Indians by a field goal 34-31.

Do the Raiders and Cougars have any chance of meeting up in any non-district matchups over the holidays? "Would the real slim shady (or Charles/Charlie) please stand up?" Maybe a game of 1 on 1 at halftime for charity?

Jasper played well, we are a little banged up. Hopefully after the new year we can be full strength. 

The pirates must be much improved, its starting to look like they are going to be a playoff team. 

What in the world is going on at WOS? I know they are a football school, but they have fallen on some hard times in basketball. Didn't they beat HJ last year in round 1? 

Indians will be competing for a playoff spot this year.

Did the Bears beat a team with a winning record this year?

Rough night for the bears, the whole district really struggled. 

Deweyville over Tenaha in football? If this continues, this would have to be one of the bigger wins in school history right?

Ltrain offense must be extremely explosive. You go eat dinner for 20 minutes and they score 3 times.

Was that scrimmage 1 or 2 with a new staff? 8-2 and a minimum of 1 playoff win I guess is "Limping". I believe we thumped that WOS team that beat yall if common opponents means anything to you.  Is the WOS recruit, or transfer playing yet for yall?

 I appreciate you being a fan, but your football knowledge needs to be questioned if you really are that fired up over a scrimmage. Also, if you think LCM could stay on the field with the Indians this year you probably need to stay off the football message boards. 

I asked do the Bears have a chance because I am truly curious. Are we going to see the team that Showed up against Vidor and Lumberton, or the team that played WOS & Huffman?

I think PNG ended up just fine on the coaching front. Coach Joseph is doing a fine job. I just hope the Bears can figure out a way to beat the Pirates next year, then maybe you can come sit at the big boy table.
