Regardless of your opinion, the slot T is always a challenge for defenses especially those who don't face it often. It requires discipline by the defense to stop it and can grind down your front line. If a team can successfully execute they can also control the clock and game tempo.
That being said I look for Peevey to have the Bears ready and I don't know if Vidor has an answer to some of the weapons LC-M can bring. Where the slot T falters is when your defense can't stop the opposing team and they stop you a few times.
Vidor has an advantage playing at their house but the Bears do bring a family. If LC-M can get ahead early they may have this one in the bag.

Thanks for the graph. I think the cutoff numbers will increase faster than LISD's hs numbers will increase
Very true. Curious what the rate of increase is.

This what I see. With the 6A cutoff number constantly going up, that means all the other cutoff numbers go up as well. So, no, I don't see Lumberton or any surround school this side of the Trinity going up a class unless it's by district merger. There is simply no growth, no new roads and if there's any growth in BISD, there's the cancer of a Bob Hope or some other charter school syphoning kids of all stripes away from the district........
I've been hearing about 'growth' in lumberton for years and they haven't budged as far as their adm is concerned
Except for the last couple of years. According to the numbers they're only about 65 students away.

The West End folks don't send their kids to BISD schools anyway.
Or they move. Why do you think Lumberton will be 5A in a few years?

Do you mean next level by going for 4th and long on their own side of the field multiple times? The young man at quarterback has some real ability and there were some decent athletes out there, but Legacy is a bad football team. They reminded me of the old Ozen teams. This one was much closer than the score indicated. If Legacy would punt every once in a while and hadn't been the victim of a weird onside redo, this could have gotten hairy for LCM.
To your point if Legacy was a good football team they may be 5-1 right now.

I watched some of this game and there was a lot missed tackles and poor coverage. It looked like Spring had a big OL and a decent qb with some receivers. We need to clean that up before district starts.
Yeah lots of blown coverages and those guys have some pretty incredible Talent on the field. Just not well coached. We won't see a team with that much speed in our district. Again this is why you don't play bad teams just to pad your record. Good teams and speed will shine a light on your problem areas.

Some LCM people please tell me what I was told was wrong…. Did the refs really do a do-over?
The official call was inadvertent whistle and yes they did re-kick.

Those who played their senior year know homecoming is circled regardless of who you are playing. You want to win.
These are the following things going in the Bears direction.
1. Bye week coming off a bad performance against a good team. Plenty of time to refocus and adjust attitudes.
2. New turf and biggest score board in SETX to be debuted.
3. Aforementioned homecoming
4. Stands will be packed with rabid fans
5. The weather will be the epitome of Friday Night Lights.
If you can't get hyped and play lights out under those circumstances turn your jersey in.
Peevey rights the ship and the Bears head off into district with a three score victory.

How long has it been since WOS has lost 3 straight games?
2001. Ozen, Jasper and Bay City.

Silsbee has the better overall players. Lcm had to have taken some players from WOS as well as they are doing too.
It only matters in playoff times, right? Isn't that what Silsbee has said during playoffs against WOS ? It's still a long season and Miller is an anomaly. WOS won't see too many players like him the rest of the season. I believe the staff will figure it out. The first year as a new head coach is typically rough most places. The community just has to stay the course. I remember people were calling for coach Smith to get fired after his 1st year.
Nope. One move in last year from OF and two this year. No one from WOS.

4th and long this could be the ball game.

2020 was a strange year... you know COVID... no one was showing up for workouts and while Bryce was a phenomenal athlete, football is a team sport. Look at the other 3 years and make your argument. Oh wait you don't have one.
Good coaches aren't a dime a dozen and BISD lost more than a few gems.
Explain 1-7 to Regional finalist.....
Coaches matter.

What was LC-M's record in 2020?

Hmm maybe a state a semi final. But i dont think they make the finals. I dont think they could have beat LBJ
I thought CHill was going to get blown out but it was a close game (35-38). Now getting there is one thing but winning is another. Stephenville walked all over LBJ

With a bye week coming up I'd hate to be on that team. They're going to have two weeks of absolute punishment. Kincaid straight up out played them. Mistakes and not taking advantage of situations cost the Bears a W but these are the times you figure out where you're weak by playing good teams.
