If PA won they would be tied for first. Instead they are in 2nd by themselves & Nederland and Crosby are 1 game behind tied for 3rd.

They (UIL) need to rotate the state championships because it would give the other schools a fair shot them 3 just driving 20 mins. The other schools driving over 4 1/2 hours that plays a major factor.

It is some serious high level basketball in this tournament it just don't count in the final H.S. rankings. I think the NBPA did a fantastic job putting this tournament together I hope it just the beginning of it.

No make them compete in the the prep school league with Montverde, IMG, & Link Academy. Then let see what happens.

It will be UIL officials will be calling the game. From the 3rd round to the state championships games the UIL will handle it. What part of the state they come from it will be up the UIL.

Maybe WOS has gotten a little better as the season has progressed.

You aren't taking into account the fact that the other teams return kids and possibly even improve.  Every year.  You can look at the comparable results with both Silsbee and HF and tell that they are pretty stinkin good.  I personally watched Jasper play and know that they're also loaded with talented, athletic kids.  Those are not bad losses for WOS.. I don't care how many returners they have.
Calm down.  The level of drama coming out of WOS over a few losses to some good teams makes me think that there isn't enough mental fortitude in the community to win any tough playoff games anyway.
Cry me a river.  The school has more state titles than most SeTx schools will ever have and are still competitive in what is an obvious down year.  Give the guy some time before putting a for sale sign in the yard.

WB and BU are low on talent lately but even if Beaumont had 1 school, 2 schools, or 3 it wouldn’t make a difference. For the most part, and there are a few exceptions but not many, the successful schools in 5 and 6a are large suburban schools in which the districts have money and the parents too.  The schools have better facilities, coaches, and the parents have money to pay for individual coaching.   For the most part WB and BU are missing both of these two ingredients. It’s sad, but Beaumont ain’t what it used to be and it’s getting much worse.  The schools are dangerously close to being like inner city schools. This isn’t the kids fault and I feel sorry for them because it’s the parents and former administrators that ruined everything.   Maybe they can turn it around but it’s unlikely. A drop to 5a might help but people of all types are leaving BISD and I think that’s what left won’t win many games. 

So, Beaumont with a population of 115K with one high school.  I submit as evidence Alief and Plano as ISDs with huge schools and no success in football.  When the UIL works their majic in '24, the 6A cutoff number will rise, which should drop WB and BU to 5A D1.  All the growth is west of the Trinity river
