Remember, Barrier will just be a sophomore. No, he’s probably not going to lead Nederland to any championships this year. But the kid is a stud. Nederland’s offense will be much better with him this year and in the years to come. 3A to 5A is a big jump, but Brady will be prepared for it. Nederland fans are going to enjoy watching him play

Definitely should be that way. But a lot of parents these days suck.  For a lot of kids, school is the only place they are taught any sort of discipline.

Lol I haven’t really looked into it that deep man. I guess I mean they seem to be getting back to the Buna I remember before Kinne. I just see the scores and read a little about em on here. I just know that when the year started, it looked like they were gonna be 2-8 again, maybe not even in the playoffs. Now, I think they’re gonna be a little better than that. Will know a little more after Friday. 

A few weeks ago I would've said EC wins big. Now I'm not so sure.  Coach Terrier has the Cougars back on track. I'm thinking it could be a battle

Anahuac had sure touchdowns dialed up a few times that would’ve changed the game. They just didn’t execute. Dropped passes, bad throws, and penalties at key points killed em. 

Congrats to Coach Williams on his retirement. The move definitely not health related. Probably has more to do with the fact that Evadale has increasingly become a difficult place to work in recent years

Played strong safety at UAM one the defense that still holds the record for the most interceptions and best defense in school history. I believe that is the only football team in UAM to advance to national playoffs in their history. Coached linebackers at WOS and they went to the state title game. His strongest reference for AD and head FB coach was Cornell Thompson.  Kirbyville has placed in the bottom 2 in team track  every year for the last 3. So much for speed. Great post. It gets old hearing people say Coach Jones is not a football coach. The man knows football and coaches his kids hard. Works his kids hard at practice and puts them through a tougher weight training program than probably anyone in the area. Yes most of his success as a head coach has been in baseball, that does not mean he isn’t a good football coach.

Even as a person who has disliked West Hardin for a very long time, this is sad to hear about.  I also can't believe that I agree with something that oldschool said.  Not many kids are going to be excited to play a full season of games that don't really mean anything.  Hate it for the kids over there

Game was postponed to this weekend I believe 

Don't remember the exact score but Kirbyville won.  Score was like 45 to 30 or something close to that.  

I think it'll be a good game.  If Kirbyville plays all 4 quarters like they did the second half against Anahuac they should win.  

Didn’t look like play calling was the big issue  last week, just played a much better team. Will definitely have to do a better job of scoring this week though.

Huge game for Kirbyville. Have to win to have a chance at getting in the playoffs.  Who wins? 

Its a rivalry game and also Evadale will clean up their mistakes from last week.  Rebs by 6
