Big game. Doesn't really matter much as far as seeding going into the playoffs in my opinion. But a huge game to set the tone going into the playoffs. I got the eagles 35-28. Go eagles!

We have athletes they are not being utilize properly. My best friends son is an state qualifier in track. Was placed on jv as junior & led the team in his junior year in receptions, reception yards, and yards after the catch. He also lead in rushing. Another young man lead the team in tackles & is sitting on the bench.
lastly all of shepherds coaches are Coldspring alumni. They applied for position even the head coach Miles Robinson. They were told who they could hire.
I agree CS might need to do something different with their offense or whatever. Not sure where you got your info from about a CS kid qualifying for the state track meet though. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen and I don't know how impressive it is for a junior to lead the jv in receptions for a run heavy program. You could be right though. Maybe he could have helped the varsity

Kirbyville will take first with the win over OF and EC. EC and Orangefield fighting for the second and third spot. Not really sure on the 4th spot with Buna win over Tarkington.
I think Buna will get the 4th seed since they beat Anahuac head to head. Looks like winner of EC vs Orangefield will play the loser of Wville vs WW and vice versa for the first round of the playoffs

Good win wildcats. How are the district standings looking now?

Yes because it's not enough refs here but at the same time they heavily favored Shepherd.
I'll take your word for it. Surely didn't think CS would lose to Shepherd this year. Something must've happened

If it's not the QB and RB running down our throats at will its the refs that cheated us. It seems like every play they called something on us and we didn't even do anything.
Officiating has been bad for a lot of teams this year. Word is there's a shortage or something

Coldspring had not been shut out since 2019 by Diboll… not often you see a 3-0 final score
Not surprised by the score at all. Diboll's defense has been clutch since district opener.

When are y’all going to stop saying that and look at the big picture. The coach is not the one out there playing the game. They call the plays and the players execute them. There is more than one coach out there. So who need to go? The coach didn’t get those penalties or missed those blocks, or passes. It’s a team sport and a team effort.
There's more to it than coaching. A tougher district for starters. But the coaches definitely blew it at the end this game by not attempting a field goal

Good game. Congrats Dawgs!

Lots of turnovers for Woodville. Not too good

Now, the HC and AD are on probation for violating the rules. Should they be asked to resign? If they don’t resign, should they be relieved of their duties? Thoughts?
Without really knowing the details I'd say it seems like a small misunderstanding regarding the rules of recruiting for TAPPS schools rather than guys purposely breaking the rules. If anything I'd say the UIL needs to look into some of these public schools that have got some of these WB transfers based on what posters are revealing on this thread

Not sure but TAPPS does have rules and regulations they have to follow. It's not a free for all like some people think.
Saying they had to forfeit for "illegal recruitment" without any detail explaining how the recruiting was illegal makes it seem like recruiting in itself is illegal to me. Really weird

There are parameters.
That's weird. What parameters did they break?

Per the news report at 6 tonight, Kelly has forfeited 3 games due to using an ineligible player and also illegal recruiting of a student athlete. Those forfeits are against St. Pius, Concordia Lutheran and Tarkington.
Kelly's record now is 1-6.
These sanctions came from TAPPS.
So TAPPS schools aren't allowed to recruit?

I understand you already had your mind made up and nothings gonna change that.LOL Numbers don't lie though. Ralon was more efficient against Diboll and Coldspring.

He's good as advertised... He has some size to him and will get bigger over the next 3 seasons. But as far as the game goes idk why every time that Coldspring plays a team that likes to pass they never push the safeties back farther which results in them having completed passes. Their QB had his share of mistakes tonight but altogether he imposed his will on our secondary which help them win.
Best in the district this year? I think not. Judging off the common opponents Woodville and Westwood have played I think Ralon is better.

That was a good game. Some folks were ready to give the freshmen.qb the mvp before he ever scored a td in district. After seeing him and some other teams yall still feel the same?
