Nice... Franklin is starting to look like the well oiled machine everyone is used to
OK we'll see if Jasper figures this thing out second halfÂ
-
Didn't expect this at all. What's the weather like?Â
-
12-7 Woodville at halftime. Eagles defense gotta tighten up and not allow those long drives. Also keep a eye open for the trick plays. Don't look bad so far but Orangefield has a good gameplan and is executing wellÂ

12-7. 35 seconds leftÂ
-
7-6 Orangefield. Woodville ball with 1 minute left on halfÂ

Bobcats sustaining a long drive with 3 minutes left in the halfÂ

Size is great to have but it is not all it takes to go to the next level. Deuce Vaughn of the Dallas Cowboys is proof of that 5ft 5
If truly have speed and athleticism you can play at the next level.
To Lions comment Neither Franklin or Newton are as good as they once were they are young and make too many mistakes.  I don’t see either winning state this year. Next Year maybe.
Like I said plenty of them will have the choice to play at the next level but I'm assuming your talking only D1. I'm sure there will be at least 1 or 2 over the next couple years but I wouldn't be able to tell you who. Plenty are getting looks at camps and what not though.Â

Bored with it yet? Franklin is a huge football town and always has been. The kids run the same system from little league up. They look up to the high school kids as celebrities and the high school kids help volunteer in all youth sports. I don't think we have to worry about them getting bored with it. If that is the case how come places like Mart and Carthage haven't got bored with it yet.
I'm just saying that's not everybody's favorite brand of football but long as the kids are enjoying it you can keep them fully engaged. That seems to have been the case with Franklin so far.Â

Sounds great, I will enjoy watching these guys at the college level. Who are some of the colleges looking at these kids.
I don't know but I'm sure the majority will play somewhere if they want to. All the hype around highly recruited players is overated sometimes. There's always some real ballers who just aren't recruited as much just based off things like "size". Doesn't mean they're not good players though.Â

And it's work 35 straight times... all I used to hear about was how Franklin would never win state just running the ball. 3 straight trips to Dallas 4 in the last 8 years with 2 state titles and only 8 yes 8 passing yards in the last 2 championship games. If it's not broke don't fix it. We may lose this game to a team a class up who imo should still be in the top 10. But its only gonna make us better in the long run. These seniors have played some really good ball clubs over the years from Canadian, Gunter, Lorena, Brock, Columbus ect. They will not back down from a challenge or lay down for anyone. I expect this to be another great game at Hedrick field.
It's worked because yall have really talented and disciplined kids who run it to perfection and haven't got bored with it yet. It takes a team who's just as talented and also very tough to have a chance at beating yall. Yall haven't ran into that team durring those playoff runs yet. I expect it to be a good game Friday also.Â

If you want a glimpse of the future of Woodville football you have to go back and watch the film of the playoff games against Cameron yoe, Rockdale, Grandview and Hitchcock. Woodville has had some amazing talent with more size and speed than what they have now. Franklin and Newton are good teams but not what they were.
I agree this is one of the smaller teams but there's probably more team speed and athleticism on this team than all those years. There's probably at least 7 or 8 guys on this team that can go. Even the guys up front are very athletic and agileÂ

I got Woodville 38-21

Diboll should win this one fairly easilyÂ

Didn't Franklin score a passing td against Woodville. I believe they had over 100 yards passing against Woodville.
I think they snuck a back or something out the backfield once or twice. They're like 90 percent run though.Â

I got Jasper by 1 or 2 scores but the rain could effect this gameÂ
-
I got WOS by 2 or 3 scoresÂ

Power football is not in vocabulary, I guess. But also you move 3year starter at center to tackle changes things.
Yea I'd like to see Big Bart at guard myself.

What did Diboll's offense look like? Were they able to move the ball any?Â
