Looks like there's a lineman out there participating in 7 on 7. Good stuff

Newton has had several kids with D1 offers that never made it to college because of their grades which the colleges now look at more closely. The Woodville kid is straight A’s. Is this kid originally from Brazil?
He's from Woodville. His mother might be from Brazil. I believe his dad played qb for Woodville in the 90s

Geez don’t get so offended lol What he said was definitely a fair assessment
I'm not offended. Just stating facts to go along with his assessment

He is definitely a good looking player and I have no doubt that he is going to be a good QB in the future, but I find it shocking that he has those offers. I would expect a D1/P4 player to dominate 3A JV competition and he did not (at least to the level of that caliber of recruit).
He's steadily improving rapidly. Not that your opinion matters much based on some of the wild projections you've made on this site

No, it was the Newton Running back.
I believe the Newton RB has had offers for a while but the young QB from Woodville has received 2 power 5 offers within the last month or so.

Did the Woodville QB pick up offers from Baylor and Texas Tech, thought I saw that somewhere
Yea , I'm surprised. I figured he'd make a good D1 QB. Never would have guessed he'd have 2 power 5 offers before the end of his freshman year though. Can't wait to see him in action this upcoming season

Dustin year before last was a freshman and probably played JV ball and was probably on the varsity when moved up for the playoffs. Stats are probably right for varsity.
I thought you were talking about Zayon. Which stats are you saying are correct for Dustin? The 22/23 stats can't be correct because he didn't play any varsity at all that year and his numbers were way higher than that on jv.

The 38 yds was yr. before last. Only sowed a few carries.
He was the starting rb the year before also. Probably had over a thousand yards both seasons. The stats your looking at are probably incomplete or something

Then find his stats and post them. The site i got them from could be wrong. Woodville site. With a QB already rated no. 1 by A&M and two elite running backs, Woodville will have no problem with newton.
Newton - nothing to see here. 😀Don't kidd yourself. It'll always be tough trying to defeat the super speedy Purple Gang

I found the stats
Williams 23/24 657 yds rushing Receiving 6/25 yds.
22/23. 38 yds rushing 1/1 receiving
Dustin stats. Has not played much varsity but is a big young good power running back.I don't have the stats but I'm pretty sure Zayon had more than 25 yards receiving in just the first game alone. 38 yards rushing is obviously not accurate either. Dustin got a few carries here and there and was also utilized as a HB/TE type the last couple district games and in the playoffs

Newton— speed, speed, speed, speed, speed. 5 Underclassman who can literally fly.
Newton will also have a lot of size, strength, and experience up front. That will probably be the most significant advantage vs Woodville

What else could it be based upon?
Everyone in East Texas understands this.

My opinion is based upon seeing them play many times.
I doubt that's truly what your opinion is based on. I saw both teams play each other and I don't know how anyone could form that opinion based on varsity performance.

Depends what your opinion is based on.

Being proven at the Varsity level means absolutely nothing if you don’t have College offers. It just means you are just another good highschool ball player. There are millions of them.
Well I'm sure the main goal of most good players is to get an offer but I'm just saying I personally don't assume a player is worthless because he doesn't have offers and don't assume a player who has offers is head and shoulders above everyone else. And you also have to take in consideration just because a guy doesn't have offers "yet" doesn't mean he's not gonna get any.

He did not get an offer, just on the player to watch list. Thats still a good thing, however, you are overrating him.
If your speaking of Luke, I agree. Good player who hasn't been proven on the varsity level yet

They already have offers?
No offers. I don't put too much into that stuff. Specially when a young kid is getting an offer based on how good he's projected to be in the future

Check out Newton’s starting starting running back as a freshman 2023. Several offers including Texas Tech and UH. He played on a team who won the nat. Championship, I think this game was played in Calif. August 8, 2021.
UTN Kendray Porter jr.He's solid. Woodville probably has 2 returning backs just as good though.

Man I've been bamboozled 😂. The kid is really a good player aside from all the top ranking and stuff though. I don't know much about all that.

Thats my point… in what world is a D1 prospect not starting somewhere in a 3A D1 team … doesn’t have to play QB
Same world where the same program had a starting QB who won the offensive MVP over another district QB who was supposed to be a all-world freshman.

Where is he making waves? Hard to believe he is that great of athlete at a smaller 3A and not playing varsity… I can promise you if Bellville had a freshman with any actual D1 capability he would be playing varsity…
Trust me he's D1 talent. I seen it his 7th grade year but he was just raw. He's worked with some trainers to refine his skills since then and is developing fast

It really makes a coaching staff look bad when you have a Kid of this caliber making waves at the p5 level and not get playing time at the varsity level,Especially in the lower classification of High school football.
You have a point but I could see why the staff made that decision after how the scrimmage against WOS looked last season. He just didn't have the experience to deal with the pressure that would come from good defenses yet. Playing on the jv last season it looked like he improved in mental and physical toughness compared to seasons before. Also sharpened his mechanics even more and is starting to realize how good he can be now.

Who might that be?
Luke Babin. Upcoming sophomore QB who hasn't played much varsity yet but looked really good leading the jv to a DC as a freshman.

I don't really like it but depending on how the brackets play out it could possibly help Woodville win a playoff game or 2
