21-19 in a tough district while playing teams like Chapel Hill and Carthage in preseason. Could be better but ain't all that bad.

It's more about the coaches knowing about the "players" they're coaching then knowing more about coaching. It looks like things might shape up to be OK right now though

Probably a mixture of Diboll not being that good offensively and maybe some small changes on defense. Diboll broadcasters did say Davion Hill had a good game. Didn't see him at all vs OF or Anahuac and he played limited snaps at DT against CS. I personally don't think he's stiff enough to play DT yet as a sophmore and would rather see him play the edge this year. He might have still been able to showcase some of his ability at DT against Diboll because their OLine isn't that good though. Also I think Kelley, Harris, and Mitchell all played good in the secondary creating multiple turnovers through fumbles and picks. Just a good night for the eagles 🦅

I'd never completely count EC out either way but although I haven't seen yall in action this year EC looks pretty good judging by the scores. OF is still the favorite for now though.

Gave up 90 plus in the first 3 games already. That's happened 2 other times in the last 10 years. 2019 we missed the playoffs and 2023 we gave most of them up to Franklin and Newton which I believe were both top 10. If we make the playoffs we're definitely not going very far unless someone figures something out

They made good adjustments. Not the adjustments I thought they should have made but definitely better than last week. Also AP isn't good as OF

Shepherd has a good DLine for sure. That might be a bad match up for yall. But next week's match up might be interesting

Decent game for the eagles tonight. Still not the exact group of guys I would prefer on the defensive front but they were definitely positioned better than last week for the most part. Still struggled to stop the run especially first half but turned up the intensity and took over on both sides of the ball at the beginning of the second half. Let up a little by the end of the third but we're able to finish semi strong. Babin looked great. Connection between him and Tolar looks improved and even better than last year. Also seen a very nice TD grab from Shird. I had forgotten how good that kid was a couple years ago on jv. Harris at safety with Kelly and Mitchell at CB looked like a good group in the secondary second half. Really like the energy Mitchell plays with. Be interesting to see how next week turns out. Coldsprings has a tough, hard running QB, a big OLine from what I hear, and a decent coach in my opinion. We'll see how the defense holds up against them.

That's an assumption. He obviously didn't know not to attempt a u-turn on a busy highway so how would you know for sure that he's more knowledgeable than anyone about anything? There's loop holes to get licenses and things

Just saw a licensed cdl driver cause traffic jam trying to do a illegal u-turn the other day

I don't coach and he should but what makes you so so sure he does?

Pretty sure there's plenty good coaches that know a lot more than me but I'm not sure that's the case for the current coach based on his carreer record and more importantly what he's done with this team so far
