  1. Stangs with the upset. Go stangs!
  2. Same here. I hope they get a chance to beat the snot out of em. 💜🏆
  3. Aledo's a nice place. Get some retired pro athletes come settle in that area sometimes also. I think Diboll's JerMichael Finley, who played TE for the packers, moved there after his NFL career to be a trainer. His son's one of their top receivers now if I'm not mistaking. They got a lot of resources 💰 to make things happen there and tend to attract the right people to keep things going.
  4. The only real competition they have when it comes to drawing talent is Duncanville. Duncanville might take one or 2 of their best guys every now and then but they still have plenty to chose from within that large population
  5. Very simular as far as race and economics and all that but Oak Cliff has like 6 times the population of PA. And yet PA is competing in 5AD1 while SOC competes in 5AD2 because of "school enrollment". Meanwhile the best athletes in the 300000 population of Oak Cliff as well as some athletes from neighboring communities will probably attend SOC while the others will attend other schools in the area. SOC has a bigger drawing pool than PA yet they play in a lower classification.
  6. Congrats Newton! Yall got it! 🏆
  7. My memory may be a little clouded but I just recall some controversy about a qb that was trying to transfer to SOC if I'm not mistaking. Several others who have successfully transferred in over the years also. I may be wrong about any blatant cheating but I'm pretty sure SOC and some other DFW schools (especially Duncanville) are utilizing some advantages some schools in more rural areas don't have when it comes to drawing pools. Good win for SOC though.
  8. Good game Indians. Maybe next year
  9. PA by fiddy! Keep going all the way Titans!
  10. I agree SOC has always had talent but you you can't give too much credit for recent success to coaching when there's blatant recruiting going on.
  11. That might depend on what you consider rough. I would never mistake it for South Dallas like someone else did though
  12. Oak Cliff is a large community. Almost like a city within itself. And it actually has some decent little neighborhoods within it
  13. The State Fair isn't in Oak Cliff. It's close to South Dallas. There is a lot of recruiting which I'm not a fan of in the DFW area though. There's some in the Houston area also but I think the DFW area is much worse
  14. It's almost like these 2 are guaranteed to meet in the playoffs every year now. I like SOC but I think PNG will get em this year. Go Indians!
  15. Me either but Arp does look like they've stepped it up a little since playoffs though
  16. It'll probably get a little tougher for Newton once they make it out of the region. Arp looks like they're playing good ball though. Hope the purple gang win it all 💜🏆
  17. Keep it going purple gang!
  18. I got Newton but yall might finally get challenged a little
  19. Definitely needed a couple guys playing a good amount of snaps on both sides. There was one or 2 guys that didn't play a lot of snaps on either side who probably could have helped also. I don't think getting stops is a huge priority to this staff. There are times when it actually looks like they're trying to let the other team score quickly so they can get the ball back. Some type of clever time management scheme where they trick their own selves
  20. Elgin was bad on defense most years while he was there also. I seen it coming but I was hoping it wouldn't turn out that way. And it looked to me like the Special Teams guy he brought from Elgin was the one coaching the defensive front mostly. That's probably not a good idea. Good effort by the players though. Especially the seniors. Gage and the receiving crew balled out
