  1. Your dreaming. Hardin lost everybody. They had one good class of players. The same class Brady played with before he moved to Anahuac. Those guys have graduated now
  2. Probably won't happen but getting opinions from some of the "little league coaches" who have watched the boys grow and develop for years might not be a bad idea either way.
  3. Looks like they might have landed a good coach who may stick around and put legit effort into trying to improve the program over the next several years. Good luck Warriors
  4. Barbay was probably never in a district as tough as the one Crumedy had either. Most disappointing thing about Crumedy's stay was the loss to Shepherd. I think low team morale played into that a little. Maybe if he had scheduled a little lighter for preseason they go into that game feeling a little better about themselves and possibly pull off a win. I don't think the people at Jasper care much for barely making the playoffs though. They want to be serious state contenders and that's probably why he scheduled the teams he scheduled.
  5. We got more receivers available if the coaching staff chooses the right replacements . Hopefully he can get some work in with them this spring and summer. He played with a couple of them on jv a couple years back. Nearly the entire OLine returns. They need major gains in the weight room though
  6. I figured it was a strong possibility he'd decommit from the moment I heard he committed. Its smart to keep your options open in most cases. I expect he'll probably pick up a significant amount of offers after some summer visits and a really good senior season.
  7. OK I misunderstood what you were saying. Coaches can't seem to get the best out of all the players though. Lot of guys didn't play up to their potential. Partially because some weren't being put on the field. Defense was just horrible the majority of the year. Offense was pretty good as expected but it was questionable at times also. Critical play near the goal line against Edgewood and we hand it up the middle to a hundred pound sophomore (very talented but still young) instead of giving it to our senior 230 pound returning offensive player of the year who scored the game winning TD in the state semi finals the year before. That play ended up being ruled a fumble when that probably could have been avoided. I was very confused about that
  8. "Fan coaches" got nothing to do with that.
  9. Yea but thanks. I did some research and it definitely looks like Woodville's overall academic performance has significantly dropped in recent years. I didn't realize it was getting that bad
  10. Not too bad considering Woodville has the bigger classrooms of these schools. Kids are able to learn better in smaller classrooms but I'm pretty sure Woodville is above average compared to other schools it's size. All the Tyler County schools are decent though
  11. I'm pretty sure Woodville is above average academically so this analogy doesn't fit.
  12. OK State wouldn't be a bad choice in my opinion being that Braylon Rigsby just transferred there from Texas Tech I believe
  13. I hope so. But judging by Woodville's performance from 7th through varsity it looks like it might be going down hill. The defense definitely could have been better than what was shown last year and that needs to be fixed
  14. He's probably not going anywhere unless he decides to leave. He's in good with the right people.
  15. Probably would have lost to Newton either way. Good chance we'd have won at least 2 more with some personnel adjustments in the defensive front though. Edgewood was definitely a winnable game.
  16. That sucks. It would feel a lot better to beat one of those (especially Gunter) in the state game.
  17. Yea that's basically it there. They got up by two scores early and their defense was good enough that Newton couldn't score quickly enough before they ran out of time.
  18. I saw at least 2 holding calls at critical moments that I thought were questionable. Not saying they were bad calls. Just saying I didn't see what they saw
  19. One of them had it in his hands. Gotta hold on to that
  20. Close one. Porter was amazing. Willed his way for tough yardage all night even though the defense was totally keyed in on him. Then that TD catch was super clutch.
  21. Some of the flags against the offense look questionable to me
