There is no 4A D1 or D2 that could beat them and only a handful of 5AD2s that would have a chance. Would love for them to schedule Longview at the next realignment for a pre-district game.

I did not say they "would" win, but they definitely "could" win. I am a "non-Carthage" person but I know what they have and fully understand what is happening in the program. I also understand why the folks who dont see them regularly do not understand the strength of their program and would like to believe them to be something less than what they are at the moment.

Not a chance Carthage gets beat by 3-4 TDs this past year (the 2022 team was much better than the 2021 team). And "Yes" I definitely think Carthage "could" have won the game.

I expect he will retire or move on when Jett graduates. The "4 year" run will be 64-0 which will likely be regarded as the "best run". I think the only chance for a loss would be if they "play up" in pre-district at the next alignment where a higher classification opponent provides too much for them. Obviously, his entire career in Carthage could/will be considered the greatest run for a career.

Yep, what Carthage has coming greatly exceeds what they had last year and likely any year prior. It is hard to understand if you have not seen. Expect Suratt to close it out with the greatest 4 year run in Texas history.

PNG beat them soundly. DCTF currently believes LH to be better than PNG. Hopefully PNG can get a District Championship. Should be a good season.

Got it, LH does not need good players. They are only a system team (that happen to be the highest scoring team in 5AD2) where the 3rd team player is as good as the 1st team player. I believe I stated it many times that PNG "clearly had the best team" when they played LH. You mentioned that "Crosby beat LH when Crosby knocked LH #1 RB out on the first play of the game". **This would indicate that LH could have used their #1 RB. How did Crosby do against LH when LH did not lose their #1 RB? PNG being a contender for the near future is a bold prediction that may very well come true but cannot be made with anything other than speculation. However, we can say that LH will be a contender with more certainty as they have been doing it for 2 decades. Will be interesting to see if PNG can win a District Championship first.

Yep, PNG was a better program 4 decades to a half century+ ago. For the last 20 years (including today according to DCTF), LH.

LH coaches have been getting it done for many years (which is why they are currently ranked higher than PNG). No one is "out coaching" LH. I am assuming that you believe PNG was "outcoached" by SOC and PAM? Looking forward to PNG replicating their results from last year as LH has been doing for two decades.

He was going to have eligibility issues. If he had stayed at Carthage, he would put someone on the bench. He does not have an equal in Carthage.

Once you start "missing" on defense of the Slot T, things can turn in a hurry. PNG won the game, we will never know what "could have happened".

Many folks have applied a set of logic for PNG and something different for LH. For those who want to detract from LH body of work and success as if PNG is something better, is silly. PNG won the game last year convincingly. To say that LH not having their best players did not make a difference is nonsense. LH offense and defense is predicated on successfully running the ball. If RB1 and RB2 are not available, it impacts the whole game. all of the mentioned factors are why LH is currently ranked higher than PNG. BTW, I happily pull for PNG.
