“Winning wise” it is a step up from Elgin to WV for a single season. It is a massive step down from Aledo. Also, there are many coaches who would rather make 6A money vs 3A money.

With the HC being an offensive guy he could very likely bring his own OC. I would say that is the norm and not the exception in these situations. Coordinators usually come and go with regime changes.

At least it is HC that has been a part of the offensive staff on State Championship teams. He should be able to help with his experience with championship offenses. Probably has good connections to get some quality offensive coaches.

That is how search firms work. Businesses or boards pay the search firm to find candidates. They typically do not hire a search firm and then do the search themselves.

No doubt. I was thinking more for both football and basketball together. Silsbee has had some good runs. Definitely not Westwood which is why I think it might be advantageous to make the move. Silsbee is more likely to have a good supporting cast for the younger brother once Kavian graduates to keep the run going. A unique opportunity for a father and two sons.

That is what I believe. He would be walking into a program that already has high quality players. His little brother that will be a freshman is "as good" or "better" also. If Silsbee is able to get this completed, it might be the best 4 year run that they have ever had.

He has basketball offers from Texas, Arizona State, A&M, Ok St, Cal, Tx Tech.

He was Newcomer of the Year his FR year (Would love to hear exactly what "wild" predictions" I made). Lead WW to the 2nd round of the playoffs and their best season in program history at the time. Eclipsed that last year while giving Columbus their toughest game in the playoffs (same for Kountze in basketball). Piling up offers from every college in the country for both football and basketball as a sophomore. Go find a sophomore anywhere in the state that has done more. What are you talking about?

I have been correct about the older brother. The younger is better than him. This is not a secret. Silsbee was already good without them. They are the overwhelming favorite with this addition.

Don’t know who could match them. About to add the two best athletes in the district. I suspect they will open the season ranked #1 in the state in basketball as well. Will be a great time to be a Silsbee fan.

If what I am hearing is true, Silsbee is winning the district for the next 4 years straight and it will not be close.
