District rule states.....
In the event of a suspended or incomplete game, that by RULE has been deemed NOT a complete game, that game will resume at the point where the suspension occurred.

Not true. Both coaches want to resume play and they can petition the district to do so. It is not automatic that the game completely starts over. This was the consensus at the post game meeting with coaches and umps.

Since my pal AAW is slacking off on the job I figured I would give him a little help and start a thread up.
Hardin Jefferson travels to Silsbee tonight (weather permitting of course) for another good 21-3A match up. Any thoughts?

What happened to just getting out of the house and going to support your team that's playing the game. Get out and enjoy high school baseball. This thread is about a baseball game not what happened in every other athletic sport. That's my two cents for the day

The fact that you continue to pat yourself on the back for making statements to cover up your mistake suggest you suffer from "Grandiose delusions". Not to mention your fixation with the state of athletics at Bridge City. You may want to get that checked out. What world do you live in where you can write "It's not WOS's fault that BC sucks in every sport but baseball and cross country..." and that mean "I am thinking about BC's competitiveness, or lack thereof, on the hardwoods....". Retort and concede that. Breathlessly awaiting your next morsel of knowledge you see fit to share with the rest of the world.Apparently it was. I wasn't clarifying anything. I was giving an example (big difference). But your response is noted. Congrats to '11 Cards football team for not sucking. But I would concede the argument to you, and congratulate you on your excellent retort, if football and baseball were the only sports....

My response to your comment was over your head. Reread your comment I was responding to, and the use of "think" or its derivative in my response. My initial comment was made to be funny. You didn't think so, others did. Carry on with the thread - my apologies for getting it sidetracked. Should be a heck of a game.
The twist on this subject is laughable and I assure you far from over my head. My response was meant to enlighten you, which it obviously did after seeing you "clarify" your initial statement. And yes it should be a good game.

I think my quote was accurate. At least with the boys' sports. BC is pretty awful at those not requiring a bat or distance running. Maybe that's why the AD was relieved?
You are one who crawfished from the first statement you made. I just called you on it and then gave an example to support my point.
I guess the bigger question is what, if anything, does this have to do with the topic?

WOS had more hits vs Kelly than BC
But that's just the box score, sure they squared up on a few that didn't fall
Let's play "6 degrees of separation" or "compare the opponents". BC beat Lumberton twice and Lumberton threw their 1 and 2 against the Cardinals. Lumberton shut out WOS without throwing their #1 or #2. So what does any of this or the talk from Buna or about the Buna game mean in relation to tomorrow nights game.......NOTHING. Different game, different day. Potential for a good game, absolutely.

There aren't many in our 3A district that I've seen that throw harder. As a matter of fact, I've only seen one that throws harder than 87. For the record I have him topping out at more than that. That's all of the tips I'm giving today. lol

Not that it means anything more than a statement on a message board but here's a little something to ponder. Lets concede that the sport of choice at BC is baseball and football is king at WOS, safe statement. Which school has been closer to winning district in the other schools "top" sport more recently? Take a minute to think.......

The above May be an opinion but a guaranteed fact is that Shugart is better than anyone WOS has faced.Aiden is a pitcher that in my opinion would be all over the radar with you guys if he had not have sustained an injury last season...If he has is "A" game he will be tough, IMO better than anyone BC has faced.
Both Anderson's are quality pitchers, not much difference between the two. WOS is fortunate to have them both. BC has seen their share of quality arms this year from Foshee(Vidor), the PNG staff, Lumberton's White and Campbell, Griffin (Silsbee), big lefty from Cameron Yoe, just to name a few. That stacks up more than favorably when comparing schedules.

WOS has taken advantage of the opportunities they have been given and that, along with a little luck, is what has to happen to win. Shae Landry has done a great job putting WOS baseball back on the map.

Any ranking that doesn't have PNG near the top is crazy. They are the best team in the Triangle and it's not really close. Their pitching staff can match anyone in the state.
BC needs a #2 after Shug. Someone needs to step up or they better hope they win a lot of coin flips for 1 game series. 12-10 playoff games are no good.
WOS needs to play someone. Their record is great, but we will know more this week after they play BC and Silsbee.
I haven't seen GCM or Dayton, but their records and schedules are pretty impressive.
Interesting observations. I believe BC has found a nice compliment to Shugart in the lefty Macfarland, he has thrown really well since coming back from an injury. He threw 5 innings of shutout ball in relief against HF and threw 4 innings with no earned against HJ. BC must have enough arms to be "competitive", check their record and strength of schedule.
As far as PNG goes I agree on the strength of their pitching staff, no dispute. As far as saying it's not even close between them and the next team goes that may be a stretch until they consistently hit enough to not depend on pitching a shutout. I do believe they are most definitely in the discussion as the best team in the triangle.
