West Orange-Stark (21) @ Newton (24) - FINAL
WOSdrummer99 replied to jdawg03's topic in High School Football
KT, bro that's about right. I've said it so many times before. Some people never happy with anything. Same ones hating T were dancing in stands at at&t. Same ones blaming him for not running Gales enough... wish he was back. Now that you got what you been pushing for. That isn't working out to good either. And that's the rant you put out there, full of personal attacks? Come on man. Some of us told you be careful what you wish for. -
That's not good. There's only 2 QBs list on the varsity roster.

We don't lose to get a better bracket

I'm curious about when the change was made. Could it have been the day after the board decision? T was still around for a lil bit. Were the kids working and learning the new system during the spring? Did it help them in 7 on 7 during the summer? Or was this started first day of 2 a days? So many questions... Why not start the new system in the off season when the staff has fully evaluated the upcoming talent?

[Hidden Content] The context led some to believe it had a racial slant. There's only a few words that should be banned. George Carlin only said the good ones. No way he wanted to be canceled. Wait, how did yall get me in the political forum? Deuces

It was the other way around. Hiawatha Hickman (Hired) West Orange-Stark, Defensive Line Coach (6 seasons) Silsbee, Defensive Coordinator (10 seasons)

It has a negative connotation by being used mostly in conjunction with "white/black/any race" : an advocate of racial or cultural separation

Typically yes. But we are not the typical HS FB program. Our success has made us demand excellence. And no, not everyone wants him gone. I wasn't happy with the hiring process. Not just that it wasn't my guy. Then I jumped on the bandwagon after I got a feel for his character, and heard his comments regarding the future of WOS FB. After reading the preview back in August, I noticed there would be some changes that weren't mentioned before. Consider this, if Silsbee basketball coach left their very dominant program in the hands of an assistant coach who had never been in the position before. Would you expect a completely new style on the hardwood?

The screen name Separation Scientist is acceptable. Separatist is the term you may confusing with it.

New Scoreboard System Debut Tonight—Your help needed!

Come on man. Give em some time to work out the bugs. It'll be better once it's all working right. Hmmm... sounds very familiar. -
I agree... it's Not the kids. This is a team that returns alot of experience. That just lost to the eventual state champion in the region finals. And were expected to have the talent to make it to Dallas in December.

Good times at the cinema!

Nowhere close to the years of experience. Those old guys coached, and/or taught how to coach, most of the new ones. The DC and his brother, the Co-DC have never been in our system. We're seeing the affects of their teaching, planning, and preparing every week. It has to get better. How good was the WB defense when they ran it over there? I know they were playing teams like NS. But just an honest opinion from a WB fan? What u say?

2022 WOSgrad Pick 'Ems - Week 5

Complete the form to compete in the contest -
I count 7 former players/coaches currently on staff. That's one of the main things I can't understand. It's not a completely new staff and perhaps that has more to do with it. These grown men have never worked together as a team. One advantage to the guy they could've brought in. He would've brought his staff and kept the some of the old too.

I've seen that happen more than once. I loved that he dug into the zebras after a horrible call during the lcm game. But was it worth loosing a TO to do so. Especially when the next play failed to convert on 3rd and long. Which is actually more of the problem. But I've also seen other staff react more while he stands there speechless. Reminds me of coach samples after the hail Mary to lose the championship a while back.

Yes and that was with the assumption the tradition would continue. Similar to all the expert predictions that went to dirt a couple weeks ago by getting beat by a school 2 divisions up. One loss wasn't enough to knock us out of the rankings. But what those guys saw that dropped us out was not what anyone expected of a program handing over the job to current staff member. This is not how it usually goes at all. I heard the HOFer Craig Way talking about not throwing dirt on a team like Brock that's currently 0-4. We aren't completely out of it either. I seriously hope they right the ship.

Practice on what you play on. Play on what you compete for the championship on. Remember back in the day when they had to get used to the turf?

Not sure the exact number. But it will have a vip section for college scouts? And/or board members of course. While the rest of us can't even get out of the rain.

Sorry if u thought I was calling you a racist. Not my intention. Just had to get it out there that it's not a racial issue. I have done the research. I know exactly what you're saying. And I plan to continue to organize the community when the chance comes again. All for not last spring. But this new record could turn the tide.
