  1. Coaches lining up to face Carthage? Just jokes. This is a really good job opportunity and maybe the hiring process isn't narrow minded. I figure Bronson would be top of the list. But maybe not with that many applicants.
  2. Unless he gets the right donor. The name is on every scoreboard over there.
  3. I didn't know he was from LCM. Makes sense. He was recently our OL coach before leaving last season for PA Memorial Co-Offensive Coordinator/ Offensive Line.
  4. Alright, let's get it started now. How are we gonna look next season? New HC and at least a new OC. Anyone on staff getting a promotion? I'd love to see DPG continue with our RBs. Obviously we're not switching to slot t mafia. Always have athletes returning in key positions. Looking for Mallet to make an impact as a sophomore RB. And the QB has some much needed experience under his belt. They did just face the eventual state champion and hopefully see the level of play it takes to reach the top.
  5. Sorry, we've gotten way off topic. Congrats to Coach Hickman
  6. Step up their game? WOS needs to step up at everything but football. Other sports are suffering too. But it starts in the classrooms on MLK.
  7. Glad you picked up on that. What can I say? Obviously WOS priorities aren't always where they should be. We voted for a bond to build new schools years ago. And test scores are still down. Is it the teachers? I'm not sure. Why do we not have honors/ap prep classes at the HS? Do we have teachers not capable of doing their job? Again I'm not sure. Don't forget the first part of student-athletes, is always the most important.
  8. Don't get it twisted. We want the coaches to run the program, no the administration. They been a thorn in the side of CT for long enough. He didn't put up with it, so they got someone who will. This is just the straw breaking the camels back. The district has had many problems... @CardinalBacker will let you know all of them shortly.. [Hidden Content]
  9. Definitely not angry. Just amazed how it ended up going down. My tax money has paid for all these bonds and upgrades. Only to have candidates blocked by the Superintendent. And then the board doesn't have the backbone to delay the hire. Even though Hickman won't take the job full time until July. I could understand them not listening to me. But when the mayor, who is a former player and assistant, was on the committee and spoke out... board members should have been more willing to wait. Trust the process, don't rush the process. And for the love of blue and silver, don't rig the process
  10. Legs in the front aren't legs at all
  11. One person wanted back into the toxic situation. Even after all the politics he went through at BISD.
  12. Here's what I found about the others that applied... [Hidden Content] Tyrone Carter was hired as the Head,Coach for the Swedes during the 2020 season. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] A sad bunch. Where are the local guys, assistants from winning programs, "elite" coaches? Nothing?
  13. He was in a position to take over at a moments notice
  14. We hope so too. CT had haters when he took over, they were at NRG and AT&T dancing in the stands.
  15. I thought the same thing for WOS. Good luck 👍
  16. Is this typical? The timeline to take on the role full-time will go as follows. February 7- June 30, 2022, Hickman will transition from Assistant Principal to active AD in the absence of Coach Cornel Thompson. Then, beginning July 1, 2022 he will take on the Athletic Director and Head Football Coach position full-time for the Mighty Mustangs.
