I see you like using what I call "Selective History". Just pick a specific spot in history and forget about the rest of it. Pathetic
Why not, thats how we just elected the president? Besides when CT retires, WOS will just be another LCM, all the same area

That's because those two teams are relevant . Silsbee just beats the downtrodden then beats their chest like they've done something. They are "DESPERATELY SEEKING WO-S" wannabes
Who wants to be WOS, gonna b three years in a row with out even winning region 3?

I understand everything except your last sentence.
Carthage might go out early? Perhaps. And I might be the next Pope.
we can dream cant we? lol but you heard it here first

True. I hear more talk of WO-S and Jasper than the subjects of the thread.
thats cause these first rounds are kinda ho hum, for the most part. Just wait till next week , threads will be rock n rolling. Carthage might go out early?

Sorry Stang fans, but I got a feeling its a Dawg rematch in round four. Tigers and Stangs can have thanksgiving this year at home or mayb deer lease.lol
-
We can be thank full with two storms, and Covid, that we have had a season thus far. Hope UIL doesnt shut it all down for playoffs due to the increase in Covid?

This might be the best matchup of the week, and still on first page, and game not on Texan LIve.

Yes La Marques district record is deceiving. They only beat Royal 10-7. Bellville just beat Royal 62-0.. I’d be willing to bet they will finish the season with losses to Bellville and Sealy. They will however get 3rd.
I'll go out on a limb here and predict: Silsbee vs La Marque, WOS vs Sweaney, H J vs Bellville, Orangefield vs Seally. any predictions on outcomes?
-
Orangefield could end up tied for second, with HJ and Silsbee, with 4-2 records. prob shouldnt happen, but possible? be placed in brackett by point differences in games played against each other, i would imagine? I could see Silsbee dropping to 4th seed, and being able to play winner of Jasper and WOS for chance to get Carthage in 4th round for regional championship. And it might be pouring down rain that night and Silsbee goes to semis again?
what u think?lol

Say y'all won by luck bro that was the past this is the future and we is much improved now and I think this year we have something to say about that but ask ur self something did silsbee ever won a state championship ask me that case close
I hate to give u the bad news, but as long as Carthage is D2, WOS will not go to any state championships

As the storm Delta flies across Tiger field with 140 mph winds, and 20" of rain, Tiger QB Foster throws for 500yds passing and beating Stangs, by 4 TDs, but late in the game, players and coaches nowhere to be found? Found two days later on field in Ohio still playing the fourth qtr.

Was told he will be back well before district play.
just had surgery, back in 6 weeks. MY opinion, if no problems, should be good for district. If we are still playing by then?

I could see them beating Silsbee cause Silsbee normally starts their season off slow, but Jasper?? 👀 ....eh...i don't know about that one.
Tigers feel better about this week one, than last four years with PNG. even with Covid Quarantine. lol

I can't seem to understand how a student decides to stay home to be taught virtual because of safety issues with covid but is okay will playing contact sports? Or how an ISD or UIL see's a difference in staying home for schooling but at school for athletics. Makes zero sense to me.
Either you go to school or you don't, including athletics.
I kinda agree, I'm sure Coaches would rather know who and what kids are around and doing during the day? Also players will be required to attend athletic period, as that is part of their practice time, so they might as well attend school. I think players will attend school, as with most kids, their best meals of the day are at school.
But as much as I would love for these kids to get going, I can see it now, first kid with an underlying heart or lung condition dies of this virus, player or not, UIL will drop the hammer on the whole thing.
The political fallout will be Beto elected Gov, and I'm on the first flight to Mars. lol

So far, Silsbee is the only area team that’s canceling voluntarily, not forced by reported COVID-19 case... rest of the ones were aware of were forced to cancel...
I was told , since the week after 4th is a UIL dead week due to the holiday, and Silsbee workout numbers were down last week due to increase in covid numbers statewide per media. Take the 2 weeks off and access . I got the feeling from coaches that an August start time, prob not gonna happen. But its anybody's guess?

They just put the most dominate Team in the State in their Division (4AD1), who some say might could win a Div above (5AD2), and dropped them into a lower Div (4AD2). Carthage’s second & third strings may get more playing time than the starters. Going to be like using a .410 to kill a roach. Like using an Air-To-Ground middle to kill an Iranian General. Like using a nuke to take out a machine gun nest.
Ah, such colorful metaphors.. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
And If Carthage loses, I’m going to be labeled an idiot, LOL. NP, I’ve been labeled worse. 😂
Take the strongest armed guy you know outside and have him throw a rock up in the air. Guess what, it always comes down. That's not Maybe , but what Will happen to Carthage. Just ask Gilmer, La Marque, Seally, Stephenville, Odessa P., Chapel Hill, Celina, Austin Reagan, Dallas Carter, Bay City, to name a few?
What goes up must come down. Hows that for a colorful metaphor. 😀

I was told there will be three freshman QB next year that might be better than all. It was also said , this might be one of the best , if not the best classes ever, from speed to size? That means with that good class of this year freshman at WOS, these two will be knocking heads for years to come. We should have a lot of good Football to keep up with.

Congrats
Two of those missed the last two games due to injury, God speed with recovery.

your prob right about a being able to continue a good program, if the Admin can hire within? If they try to bring in some hot shot from outside that doesn't stress the importance of off season and discipline, then could be tough. This kind of program wasnt built overnight, it takes years to get the kids to buy in to what they do. You can have lots of athletes, but if they dont trust and buy in , its not gonna work.
