Wins against WOS are rare and definitely impressive. Not necessarily against Ned. The wins that Robertson and Musser had against Nederland in the four year run from 89-92 was nothing special really. I was in on three of those. They were both very good QB's, but they didn't have to do much to beat Nederland then. Nederland was pretty terrible during that period. Backup QB's could have won those games!

Morse is also one of only a couple of PNG QB's to be offered a scholarship to play QB at the next level. That speaks volumes!

Grew up across the street from Denny, he was like my big brother, I miss him very much to this day. Caught a lot of passes from that cannon arm. He was a really good pitcher as well!

I played 89,90, and 91, so I played with Robertson and Musser. They were both good.

Coach Pat Fischer was my DB coach at PN-G. He was a damn good DB coach as well as DC.

PN-G had too much Speed and Size!

I never said a word regarding tons of size are speed. Nor did I say anything remotely close to this being the best defense in years. I simply replied regarding weight of a few players. And the 6"0" LB's are far from correct.

I know them as well, as a matter of fact, a few of them were recently at my home and I saw them on a scale..... But I'm sure you are right!!!

Starting DB's Vaughn is about 135 Wommack is about 170 Stansbury is about 160 Bost is about 205 Starting LB's Lejeune is about 185 Lebouef is about 190 Robinson is about 205

No, not necessarily, I just meant that either one could fill in those positions and do a more than adequate job if need be. I believe they are both more valuable at there current positions on defense.

Lejeune could play RB if need be. And Morris could play OL if necessary.

No, he played defense occasionally at corner in clutch situations at crucial times against the opponents #1 receiver and did a very good job, but not on a regular basis.

Aside from the summer PN-G injuries, they have had several more in the last few weeks. A few more players not suited out tonight. Including the offensive and defensive lines.

Agreed! I actually think PN-G's front 7 will be OK, but they will have to get pressure on the QB pretty quickly to help with the lack of speed in the defensive backfield.

Yes, of the 4 starting DB's, Vaughn is the only one with real speed. They have a couple of faster back-up DB's that rotate in, but they don't start. ??? But as a whole, the DB's are not fast.
