I figure gilmers passing attack will beat carthage.  Jasper had open recievers just couldnt catch the ball..also gilmer I think is faster overall jasper got around the corner a few times against carthage I thought we should have tried more with a reverse or somthing creative...anyway like you said thunder we will not know cause jasper will make the playoffs...

Jasper's biggest fans live in carthage now...If jasper makes the playoffs carthage will be D2.  After seeing both teams several of us jasper fans agreed gilmer is alot better (more and better athletes) not to take anything away from carthage they are very well coached and have a great O and D line (they lived up to their hype).  That qb for carthage was a difference maker along with the tight end and wr's. I think alvis is as good a qb as that kid but his wr's went up and beat our DB's and I like the way they fought for the ball.  

Well its offical if jasper makes the playoffs we get a rematch with gilmer...

They better be pissed off!!!

Jasper has the worst wide receiving core I have ever seen in my 40 yrs of watching jasper..I said the same thing after the silsbee game..Usually we dont have a qb that can throw but that has been reversed...How many times can alvis hit a guy in the hands and they drop it..IDK maybe we focus on running in practice to much and not passing but Alvis needs at least one receiver he can count on..

Friday Friday Friday!!!!!!!! I believe the key to Jasper winning the game is how they handle Carthage's huge offense and definsive line.  I think jasper will do good early but I am worried about the 4th quarter...We will have to make a defensive stop or two in the 4th when we are tired..Coach has hung his hat on the "D" so here we go... Jasper will start fast and get ahead early in the game. ( this is a must for a jasper win) Coach Becham cannot get conservative with the play calling he will have to open the offense up and allow Alvis to throw the entire game for jasper to win...balance will be the key to slowing down the big guys on carthage.. Jasper must captalize on the drives inside the red zone with TD's NO settleing for field goals. In the forth quarter we cannot get tired on defense and let carthage push us around we will need to make some stops.. jasper      31 carthage  28

Jasper 8th grade and JV to be played in carthage all others were cancelled cause of rain..what a shame I was looking forward to watching the middle school games tonight..

Something has happened over the last 10 years and that part of the state has really developed into good smash mouth football teams. The greater golden triangle has become more finasse (sp)and softer... Jasper will need to maintain the violent attitude and it will be a good game...

[Hidden Content] A poll set up to see if you think the suspension is fair...The article hints to what Franks may have done (I still have/had no ideal)...With the boards 3-3 split they still anounced he is suspended for the remainder of the season? (according to other article) seems strange they would do so....My last thought is if lawyers get involved by the time anything is resolved the football season will be over and this kid just lost out on his senior year in football and as we all know you can never get that back....

We agree totally, if we knew what happened last week it would be old news by now...Quess those of us that dont know will have to wait for the enterprise to run a story.. By not releasing the details of "teens doing what teens do", those of us with no knowledge of the situation tend to get ideas that may not be true. All we see is that he is suspended from school and there is a special board meeting called tonight to discuss the action. Sounds pretty serious to me. If it was a minor infraction, I would think, that the coach would handle it with a few extra sprints and then it's over. But special board meetings and hush, hush, antics scream of something more serious. Not trying to stir the pot, just letting you know what it is like on the outside looking in.

Oct. 15 2009....Jasper (710) WoW!! Last time it was 813..down 103 students..there is alot bigger issues in jasper than football, and its just going to get harder to make a living as people continue to leave..

First of all you cannot compare an internet message board to channel 6 news or a newspaper for that matter, setxsports is not going to get sued over someone printing a persons name in good light or bad light, we accuse our players of being great and drop their names everyday. with that said, what did some kids do to get in trouble who ever they may be. and will it be more than a game or two..

KJAS jasper reported 3 wos players are suspended no names but what are they accused of doing..

I think those are the current numbers...
