agreed, it helps with our numbers when everyone gets excited about football and wants to play. Coach willoughby is still there coaching them up but I would like to see some older more experenced coaches helping willoughby. Also dedicate 7th grade and 8th grade coaches instead of 3 or 4 coaches trying to coach both this would help in the development. and by no means am I saying the middle school coaches are not capable. some of our older coaches that have kinda retired (brack, buck, ect..) they still have alot to teach I bet..

we held wos to 13 our defence needs to shut someone out I say we hold them to 0..

I do believe Jasper is headed in the right direction. I like seeing coach Beckham at the middle school games arguing with the officals and coaching kids up...back in the day we almost never lost a middle school game.

Jasper plays @ H-F this week. The way teams have snuck up on each other this year, this is no time for Jasper to rest on its laurels. I know H-F has struggled so far, but Jasper has been known to show up flat after big wins over the years. very very true maybe the coaches will put something new in the offense that will keep them working hard and motivated and excited.

The universe seems to be balanced again (around jasper) after the kville win. I could not imagine what practice would have been like in the 80's if we would have lost to kville (not that we would have played them we always played up) but jasper should beat kville every year because of numbers... and should play wos competive every year...Its funny when these things happen no one starts talkin about baseball during football season.

Yea, Alveriz(sp) has really done a good job in kville that program was horribly before he got there..

Please tell me that you're not satisfied yet. This is a great start and I assure you that everyone in that fieldhouse would be very disappointed if they had a meltdown and lost every game from here on out. It's way too early to classify this season as anything, but it's as satisfying a three-game start as I can remember in a long time. The Dawgs have made great improvement, but there's a LONG way to go. well said this year is far from successful yet. IMO you need to make a deep playoff run to consider this season successful..

You know even without the penalties wos was not that good they are small and alot slower than we expected except for the 100 m champion that kid can fly.. the coaching was not what it used to be and they never attempted to make an ajustment it seemed....good night Im done..

Jasper will control the clock there will not be enough time to score 50 maybe 30 at the most.. who has HF played and with what results..

Who is nederland this year? they will be lucky to make the playoffs, they do have great tradition and I wish them all the best along with LCM. Maybe LCM found them a coach that will build a great program but again they arent going anywhere THIS year hopefully in the future they will.. When you play teams that are better than you, or as good as you,. they make you look bad and force you into making mistakes, that is what happened to wos against kville and jasper.

I did pick Jasper to win (I picked 2 fg and we kicked 3) Jasper is a well rounded team this year and coach Becham is a great fit... As for as the refs Hooks influence made a difference with wos first Td never ever should have happened 4and goal from the 30 and jasper gets a personal foul to give wos another chance and this is after a sideline warning 5 yard penality (what happen to the warning) Wos held or tried to hold our end every play but was never called.. The score should have been much worse. Wos is way overrated it seems like the teams in the northern part of east texas are alot tougher physically than south east texas with Jasper being stuck in the middle but coach becham has brought that mentality to jasper. Good win for Jasper bad lose for wos...

gilmer first round would be terrible. Jasper looks better than any other 3a team in this area..Wos was not even close..that suprised me.

Friday time to post a score. After watching the jr high games the Jasper 7th grade had a hard time but the 8th grade put a whipping on WOS. I look for Jasper to control the game and open alot of eyes in east texas. Jasper 27 ( score 3 td's and kick 2 fg's) Wos 22

playing 2 2a schools is a waste of time for them..
