I vote for a Thursday, Friday, Saturday double header at Lamar with BC vs Silsbee & OF vs WOS.   Let's make that happen.  

Well, here we go again. All 4 of us advance and all 4 of us have to play each other next week. WOS/Orangefield.   Silsbee/Bridge City.......  I called this happening over a month ago. 22-4A = toughest district in the State!!! Good luck to all our teams (Especialy WOS) and let's stay healthy so the remaining 2 teams can make a run!!

22-AAAA continues to roll!  Only thing that can slow them down is running into each other in the next round!!  Great job, guys!
 

Time to book Lamar Field.  Make it a weekend for the locals.

Only thing that sucks! Oh well, whatever happens between us 4, I'll be behind the 22-4A rep all the way, no matter who it is. Let's bring a baseball SC back to SETX. We have football, basketball and now need baseball!! 

If true #1's go up against each other, then game 1 will be a toss-up. Low scoring and 1 or 2 run ball game.  Regardless of 1st game outcome, Silsbee advances.  Just too many bats and too many quality arms.

Well, you also have the argument of 22-4A. All 4 teams are top notch. 

That is definitely huge; Carthage is always a perennial power.  VYPE had Colmesneil as a top 10 contender and they were beat in 2.   Orangefield is really playing well, and beat a quality ranked Hudson squad.

With all 4 of our teams playing great ball right now, I like our chances. Look at Orangefield, they knocked off Hudson and they did it convincingly. I've said it before but if we took all 4 of our teams and put them each in a different district, all 4 probably would be District Champs. Man what a tough district we have down here. Then if we added HJ to the mix it would have been even harder. Still not sure why they put HJ in the other district.

Way to go 22-4A....looks like we may have to beat each other out again like last year....

OF 6-1 still batting in top of top of 5th no out on Mason Gonzales' 2nd and 3rd RBI of the game.  Bobcats knock out LH's starter who was undefeated with a 1.13 ERA coming into the game. 

Just shows that you still have to play the games and that some teams match up better against some teams than others, along with the fact that you may see different pitchers than other teams see.

Heard the HJ AD wouldn't let the JV suit out and travel with the team.  Man what an opportunity to build some momentum with your program.  You think he would've denied the JV players in football an opportunity to suit up at NRG? You're already taking a bus, what's a few extra burgers on the way home going to cost?  Maybe there is a legitimate explanation, and I sure would be interested to hear the rationale.

What a great game to watch.  Great pitching, with one exception for both sides, great defense, in game adjustments...etc.  By far the best game I have seen JD throw,  had great command of all his pitches.  Trevis battled all night and made huge pitches when he needed them, just as he has time and time again for those of us who have had the privilege of watching him for the last three years.  Hats off to both teams!!!  Silsbee will be just fine... lost 4 games all year by a total of 4 runs.  Said it all along... Games 1 & 2 are not near as important as the coin toss and games 3,4 & 5!!  Hoping for an all SETX regional final!!!  Good luck to all D22 teams!  Let's go represent!!!!

Does anybody know anything about the first round matchups?

To all the other Tiger fans, besides Maroon4flashyeyes, great game! We will both make noise in the playoffs! Toughest district in 4A period! I'll be rooting for y'all until we meet again.

Everything Walldrill says is correct in his earlier post about match ups. You (Kj dad) are also correct that any given team can be beat at any given time. Teams that are able to control their own path in the playoffs absolutely look for the best route. Those teams that are not able to control their destiny just take what's thrown at them and do the best they can. (WOS state run a few years ago is a prime example of that and perhaps another reason the run was so impressive). Timing, match ups, coin flips and others most definitely play a huge part in how the playoffs shape up. To say that they don't is just not being willing to have an open discussion while removing your emotions. For example, show me a coach who has made deep playoff runs and I'll show you someone who has been on both sides of the coin flip, good and bad. It's one of the things that makes the game "beautifully cruel". 
 
With all that being said I'd like to personally wish all the local playoff teams good luck and hope they each have successful journeys all the way to state.
