  1. They didnt two years ago
  2. If you need some TXHFSB talk in the off-season Tepper and I give you some with the January edition of TepAndStepp for DCTF subscribers only. We talk UIL Realignment and some of the coaching changes that have taken place thus far www.texasfootball.com/article/2022/01/25/tep-stepp-podcast-what-to-watch-for-in-uil-realignment?ref=article_preview_title
  3. I definitely wouldnt call Calallen the "barrio"
  4. Sulphur Springs talent level is way down right now they'll struggle even dropping down to 4A...but there's some good groups at the lower levels...just gonna be about 3-4 years before you see impacts on Friday night
  5. They changed the cutoffs in December because they jacked up the opt up process and several schools opted up late thus causing the UIL to balance out the division splits....they fixed that process this time and were very clear about the deadlines etc...Crosby's gonna be D1 just give up any hope of a last minute change I cant see it happening 10 days before realignment
  6. That press release is dated Dec 10, 2019..the UIL made some changes to how they go about the process to prevent what happened two years ago....the odds of anything changing now are less than 1%
  7. They changed it in early December not late January...
  8. If what I'm being told is accurate Crosby is going to be 5A D1...there's no more opting up changing etc...that ended in early Dec....I can't see the UIL just a couple of weeks before realignment making any adjustments to cutoffs
  9. Correct, Mr Campbell has been in an emeritus role regarding the magazine since the late 1980s, we definitely weren't expecting a man in his mid 90's to be writing and editing capsules etc
  10. [Hidden Content]
  11. You are correct but then you gotta move the 2 Pflugerville schools and Elgin somewhere else and that somewhere else is San Antonio....shoulda clarified and stated "Austin area"
  12. true but if those two schools travel an extra 30 minutes and it cause 3 schools in Austin to possibly travel 30 min less they'll do it....everything is connected...so lets say I move LCISD to a district in Houston now I have to find homes for the Austin schools which means they likely go to San Antonio because there won't be room for them w/Austin ISD.... Thats my logic at least by doing it that way..lol
  13. Not much sillier than putting them in a district with Bryan Rudder and Huntsville is it?
  14. I'm not sure what else you do in El Paso....its a nearly six hour one way drive to the next closest district opponent (note I said CLOSEST)....West Texas presents major travel challenges that are hard to imagine for anyone not familiar with the geography
  15. Thursday 7pm Shiner vs Refugio Friday 7pm Galena Park North Shore vs Humble Atascocita 7pm Katy Paetow vs Fort Bend Hightower 7pm Denton Ryan vs College Station 7pm Alamo Heights vs Liberty Hill 7pm West Orange-Stark vs China Spring 7pm Diboll vs Lorena 7:30pm Texarkana Texas High vs Crosby 7:30pm Tyler Chapel Hill vs Little Cypress-Mauriceville 7:30pm Cuero vs Geronimo Navarro Saturday 1pm Katy vs Humble Summer Creek 2pm Allen vs Southlake Carroll 2pm Cypress Bridgeland vs Tomball 2pm Austin Westlake vs Austin Vandegrift 2pm Lake Travis vs San Antonio Brennan 3pm Fredericksburg vs Austin LBJ
  16. Kingwood Park will be D1 based on the new # I got for them 5A D2 you have to get a little creative to make it work because you are limited on space and you have certian rules to follow...plus you have a 4 team district in Region I that really has an impact down the line... I thought about flipping Galena Park into 9 and then firing Texas City back over, but it seemed weird to send Texas City over to 9 and not Santa Fe
  17. Goose Creek ISD is opting up their schools to 5A D1
  18. From Humble ISD Admin, I just didnt update the snapshot numbers on the website
  19. I had a bad # for Kingwood Park...they turned in 1937
  20. Great job...nothing like TXHSFB in person
  21. there are TXHSFB playoff games are played out of state aside from last year there's usually one or two per year...Shereveport has hosted multiple games...teams in the panhandle will often play in Oklahoma and teams in Far West Texas have played in Artesia, Carlsbad and at University of Eastern New Mexico
  22. Watched much of last week's game on TexanLive, first time I sat and really watched Crosby since the opener vs Carthage and they looked like the real deal.....Definite favorites to get back to AT&T Stadium....I imagine with no restictons on crowd size this year there will be a ton of red in the stands if it happens
  23. Lorena was clearly the better team and it wasn't close tonight....talking to the Lorena folks this was by far the best and most complete game they played all year...So you have a Lorena team thats 1) better and 2) played their best game of the year and you have what happened tonight....are they 44 points better than Woodville? Most night no..but I'm not sure Woodville on their best day beats Lorena
