  1. I’m painting a picture for the future of Bridge City Football. Which is an exciting one. The loss is acknowledged, but BC far exceeded expectations. Even against the #7 team in 4A D1. By all accounts, including yours, it shouldn’t have even been a game.
  2. “BC kept it interesting as they should have” most people said this team was gonna get demolished by Pine Tree. BC put up more points on #7 Pine Tree than all but 1 team this season. That’s more than Kilgore, Gilmer, Lindale, Henderson, and Chapel Hill scored. That’s impressive company and something BC can hang their hat on looking forward to next year. I expect BC to get a lot better this offseason with some much needed continuity with the new coordinators and head coach. BC and Huffman represented the district and SETX well. The other two got skull drug. One was justifiable considering they had Kilgore on the road.
  3. Nothing to be upset with after this loss. Cards were in it till the end and the kids showed a lot of guts. They truly left it all on the field. Future is bright for this team.
  4. Imagine if Vidor beats Kilgore.... The shockwaves across the state would be enormous!
  5. Orangefield steamrolled their entire district besides Coldspring. I feel like they are getting better at running the spread each passing week, and I don't see Fairfield stopping them. Orangefield by 3 TDs
  6. 1. Atascocita 2. Clear Springs 3. Summer Creek 4. Angleton 5. La Porte 6. Huntsville 7. Marshall 8. Texas High 9. Longview Pine Tree 10. Tyler Chapel Hill 11. Lindale 12. Jasper 13. Silsbee 14. Teague 15. East Chambers 16. Palestine Westwood 17. Orangefield 18. Anderson-Shiro 19. Woodville 20. Centerville 21. Timpson 22. Deweyville 23. Overton 24. West Sabine 25. Aquilla
  7. Livingston, Huffman, HJ, and LCM all had good games on the ground vs BC. I worry about the run defense considering Pine Tree is run heavy and will be leaning on the run if their starting QB is truly out. While they do struggle against the run, BC is still scrappy on defense overall. If Pine Tree becomes 1 dimensional on offense, I think BC will be able to adjust. I am hoping they can force a couple turnovers. Regardless, they have to have a good game offensively. It will be a long night if they can't capitalize on their possessions/takeaways.
  8. The passing offense has been absolutely dreadful lately with too many turnovers, bad QB play, and the OL got absolutely manhandled by Huffman. Running game has been BCs strength all season. If their offense can get Sumrall rolling early, I can see the defense creating a couple turnovers to make this game close. I have a feeling the offense will continue to struggle to generate points and rely too much on the passing game. Defense should be capable of keeping it within 2-3 scores. Overly Optimistic: BC wins a close thriller Realistically: Pine Tree wins by 2-3 scores
  9. Thanks good sir!
  10. Couldn’t add BC or Vidor in the answer choices. Comment if you think BC or Vidor has the best shot to make it out. Good luck to all in the playoffs!
  11. Vidor @ Kilgore Bridge City @ Pine Tree Huffman vs Chapel Hill LC-M vs Lindale
  12. Orangefield vs Fairfield Friday, November 15 7:30pm Splendora Wildcat Stadium
  13. Okay, you’ve made your point abundantly clear. All season long. Opted up this… opted up that… BC goes 8-2 but they aren’t allowed to celebrate, complain about anything, or be proud of anything because we opted up. Is that going to be the narrative all season next year too? I truly hope not. I wish a successful post season to all SETX teams. Especially those in the 409 and yes even LCM. Have a great weekend guys.
  14. Okay so all the hate comes from opting up. Got it.
  15. Im trying to point out that Right99JOH said that bc loses to the “good” teams. They lost to the outright district champ by 3. And despite committing 4 turnovers on offense and losing the ball on kickoff return, they were in the Huffman game till the end. I just don’t understand why yall hate so much when the margins are so small between the three.
  16. I’m not bragging, I’m just stating the actual numbers. If BC is below avg so is LCM
  17. They finished 8-2. The two losses combined were 11 points. If BC is average. So is Huffman and so is LCM
  18. I complained about officiating and favoritism from them towards Peevey.
  19. What we actually learned this season is that BC far exceeded expectations (Projected to finish 6th) and were in the running for the DC. Future looks bright for BC football. They lost to the district champion by 3 points. At the end of the day, it’s been a heck of a season and I expect them to compete their butts off against Pine Tree. Take your hating somewhere else.
  20. Longview Pine Tree vs Bridge City Friday, Nov. 15 7:30pm Pirate Stadium, Longview
  21. Looks like Vidor @ Kilgore, BC @ Pine Tree, Huffman vs Chapel Hill, and LCM vs Lindale. Good luck to all in the 409 vs the gauntlet that is 9-4A D1.
  22. Huffman dominated up front defensively, and did what they needed to on offense to secure the win. BCs quarterback took a lot of hits and was limping around. I thought BCs defense played well considering all the turnovers the offense committed.
  23. They are definitely capable of getting a close win over Jasper and Silsbee. They could be 4th or 3rd at best.
  24. I thought that it applied to 4A D1 as well, or at least that is what has been said multiple times by multiple people.
  25. Big game with a lot on the line for both teams. They will both need every advantage they can get to compete with who they will be drawing in the first round.
