  1. LCM fans saying they are the better team when they won the game by three points and seven of those points were gifted to them by the refs. It’s not legal to drag a guy by the face mask across the field. It is what it is though. Nothing will change with the Setx chapter of officials and nothing will change with Peevey’s influence on it.
  2. LCM wasn’t the better team. Smalley only did that in response to Peevey BEING IN THE REFEREE HUDDLE. Smalley got told to get back across the field while Peevey continued to chirp. I don’t think you know or understand the way the game of football should be played or the rules of the game. If so, you would realize this ref crew was a homer crew that allowed him to do whatever he wanted by awarding him a touchdown on a blown face mask call. I’m telling you, if he tried that with a neutral crew, he gets a penalty called on him.
  3. I normally never blame a loss on referees but if this wasn’t obvious favoritism towards Peevey, then I don’t know what is. Any other coach does what Peevey does in a game at a different stadium, they would get a penalty thrown on them.
  4. Peevey should run for the president of the SETX chapter of TASO after this game. They allow him to get away with anything and everything. They even let him barge in the ref huddle (on the 3 yard line close to the hash) and let him make the TD call on a punt return with a hellacious face mask dragging the BC player across the field. All the posting on here week after week about LCM being plagued by penalties especially holding penalties, this crew called a few holding calls when there were at least 20.
  5. Vidor shouldn't take them too lightly. I would say more in the realm of Vidor by 10-14 points. I do agree that the game will be over by 9:30.

  7. If BC can get right on offense, they will beat LCM. Defense is balling out and special teams is playing good. They just can’t turn the ball over like they have been the past two weeks. Especially in their own end zone. They managed to stay unbeaten even though they tried their best to beat themselves. Hats off to them for playing through adversity. Gonna be a great game next Friday.
  8. 32-20 Final BC. The offense gave Livingston two TDs.

  10. Is there any update on the kid who went down in the HJ/LC-M Game?
  11. Nothing wrong with being a fan of a successful team from SETX. The key for BC is to stay healthy the next two weeks so they can give LCM and Huffman a run for their money at the District Championship.
  12. I’m going WO-S 32 - Jasper 28
  13. Vidor attempted to throw multiple times in the BC game, but BCs defense swarmed the backfield most of the time before the QB could roll out. Applying pressure to opposing QBs has been BCs biggest strength all year, and HJ is about to understand that Friday. That group of freshman that Vidor has coming up is pretty good (One is currently on varsity). Vidor would be wise to develop a new identity with those dudes. Bigger things are on the horizon for V town. Let Dubois work.
  14. Regardless of the offense, kids need a reason or purpose to play football. Normally, for most kids, football is something they genuinely enjoy playing, because most players won’t be suiting up on Saturdays. At the end of the day, the most successful teams have kids and coaches that genuinely love the game and get joy and fulfillment playing it. Vidor’s two current biggest issues are the lack of appeal to play the game and a lack of community support. The offense has been the same for years, and Mathews did a great job of getting the kids and community behind his teams year in and year out. Vidor’s whole identity was being a team you hated to play because you knew you were in for a long physical night. That made the game fun for the kids who played, and they took a lot of pride in it. Currently, I would argue that the toxic attitude of the community towards the offense and Dubois in general is the biggest thorn in the team’s side. The need for instant gratification from fans is what is fueling it all. When the players go home or out in the community and hear: how bad the offense is, how bad the defense is, or how bad the coaching is, the players will begin to lose pride in the program, and the game is no longer fun. This leads to discipline issues and players quitting. Vidor has lost their identity and Dubois and the offensive scheme isn’t the culprit. The Vidor community needs to leave their objections of who they hired at the door and let the man work if they wanna be successful in the future.

  16. Lumberton gets their first W of the season. Lumberton by two tds
  17. LCM by 30+
  18. LC-M should handily win. Gimme Da' Bears 35-14. Although, I have a small feeling HJ might make it interesting early.
  19. Gotta keep those eyes out of the backfield. 😂

  21. Orangefield may keep it close early, but Anahuac runs away with it. I’ll take the Panthers 28-14
  22. Please put Vidor on your pick ems this week, and sit back and watch who gets "hit in the mouth" 😂
  23. I get what you’re saying, and I respect your opinion. I personally wish BC would’ve stayed down myself. I can’t speak for the admins that made the decision to opt up. I just hate seeing people run down the progress BC has made. I mean for the past almost decade, BC has been BAD, even in games they have won, they weren’t dominant wins.
  24. Maybe I’m delusional, idk, but one thing is certain, I would love to see them compete against Silsbee, WOS, Jasper, and HF. They would have a shot in any of those games. Silsbee hasn’t shown me anything this year signaling that they would soundly beat BC. If BC has a chance to beat their entire district. They would have a great shot to beat Silsbee. Silsbee barely beat LCM, and LCM just barely escaped Vidor.
