Pump the brakes just a bit, BC played their worst game of the season against a good team that went 3-4 rounds deep in the playoffs last year. The strides they've made already are much greater than expected. The schedule is certainly not in the Cards favor but they will be competitive and have the potential for some more wins this year. Most folks would have bet against BC being .500 at this point before the season started so who knows where they end up.

I miss the post game interviews from coach t lol.. the new coach is just like " yeah that was a really good team we played just missed on some opportunities"... coach t would or been like. I wasn't happy with the way we played they better figure it out or I'll find some one who will.. and that's a speech after a 3 touchdown win lol... don't wanna hear the one after a loss haha 

I prefer it when only 2 teams went. I was ok with 3 with the district champ receiving a bye. Never been fond of 4 going to playoffs but it is what it is.
My main reason for not liking 4 is when 4 teams go out of a 4 or 5 team district. I think you should have at minimum 6 or more teams in a district if you are going to send 4. Or at least make the 4-5 team districts play each other twice for district play.
Also, I think all district champs in all classifications should host 1st round games. A little incentive to win a district title.

Comparing natural turf to artificial turf is not an entirely fair comparison.  A well-maintained natural turf field is usually preferred by those who have the money and manpower to maintain them.  At the high school level, most fields must be multi-use facilities thus adding the demand of saving money over the long term.  The old school Astroturf was brutal for causing many knee injuries because it had superior (dangerously) traction but with bad consequences.  The newer artificial turf is much superior in it's playability and ability to mimic natural turf.  Costs of artificial turf have dramatically been reduced compared to 10-20 years ago.  More companies competing for the market helps as well.  The most recent version of these artificial turf fields have the features of not holding/transferring heat by the use of different "pellets".  I am very happy that many more schools are able to install a safer artificial turf so that many programs, (football, band, drill team, soccer, etc.) can train, practice, and play on safer field.

I’m not sure yet when that’s going to happen but he’s ready when they say go! We have heard and felt each of your prayers and we love each and every one of you! This coming Friday morning will definitely be a totally different football Friday than we have ever experienced before, but we know that this, too, shall pass. I will post an update when he is discharged. Again, thank you all so much for the prayers during this time. It has been a scary situation and all of your call, texts, messages have been very appreciated!

A shout out to my buddy Andy Evan's for being named by the UIL as one of the top 100 Texas high school football coaches of all time.

Way more kids died from the Flu this past season than the Covid-19, and way more adults have died from Covid-19 in the ages 65 and above and with underlying conditions for the most part.  Now the vast (not all)  amount of teachers are well under 65 years of age.  So in my opinion we just need to open the schools and quit living in fear that some politicians and a lot of the media are shoving down our throats.

Having attended multiple Championships at AT&T as well as the one at NRG, I too acknowledge that AT&T is very accommodating to the teams as well as fans for the UIL games.  I had hopes that NRG would have been a better host so the games could return occasionally.  The Houston area crowds were many thousands lower than those at AT&T.  If you have never attended the UIL Championships, you owe it to yourself to make the trek to Arlington and experience a first-class presentation of our beloved Texas High School Football.
 

Wait. What about all the special teams? Kickoff team, kickoff receive team, punt team, punt receive team, field goal team, extra point team? That should be 66 which makes 88 players for football.

More playoff teams and more money for UIL seems like it would play a part in the reason for football divisions.
