No one wants to deal with Texas Inc....You make my point with "neighbors". Deloss Dodds, as much as I hate that dude, was a revolutionary and was one HELL of an AD and should be mailed a check for every stinkin teasip t shirt and hat sold in this country (or is he dead, I cant remember, maybe that was the President of tu).
As for the SEC gettin into Texas, I think that is a bit over reported personally as the SEC (LSU mainly) already had their hands in Tx pie. But yes, I see your point, it certainly did not hurt the SEC's agenda. As for the PAC 12..etc..see my first line because its true!! Agreed, NCAA is on borrowed time from a legal standpoint. Tick Tock.
And likewise sipster, I know you are quite versed in everything "aggy" and UT, that's why I made the wise crack. I appreciate your knowledge and good takes as well.

On your first thought, I am simply talking about re-distribution of wealth, same concept, but point taken and kudo's for educated analogies, not something I see here a whole lot.
Second, no doubt Bama gets hosed, but if the entire system were based on performance on the field, then obviously 1/2 the schools would not exist, every winner produces a loser. I cant argue the "arms length" because it's tough to win 8 games, let alone 9-10 in the SEC West, but with that comes higher expectations and a draining of the swamp in Aggieland. For WAY too long, TAMU has been an underachieving bird nest on the ground. I like what Jimbo has brought to town though. Only time will tell, but for now, Jimbo gets a solid B+ from me. He wins a bowl game and he gets an A- in his first year.
Three, cant argue that. It was just a jab. Even Charlie beat OU. Poor Charlie, I still feel sorry for that dude.

I would argue that it does matter with the current system that we have.  Perception is half the battle in College Football and the CFP.  UCF has the best record in college football the last 2 years and what has that got them?  It was a big debate if OU would get in over tOSU and 2 loss Georgia.  I guarantee Bama would have gotten in over OU if Georgia won that game.  Conference strength definitely helps

I can halfway see your point with Vandy, but Vandy is "old money". The cash cash ridden alums keep Vandy in the mix, throw in Nashville and the TV market and the SEC lets them ride the coat-tails,  but Kentucky more than holds its share with revenue in the SEC when it comes to basketball and a football program playing on New Years Day this year.
I do have to give you credit though with the socialism analogy because I do believe that theory holds water. Myself, I am a capitalist pig (See my thoughts in original post when I said tu does not have to answer to anyone!!!) All I was trying to get across is that way of thinking does not make for the most loyal of neighbors..... ie A&M, Nebraska, Missouri, Colorado.
And by the way, how do you think the women's field hockey (or pick any title IX sport) at tu gets to travel and buy those nice new uniforms every year? We all know Saturdays at DKR pay for that and much more. Is that not socialism?
As for Bama doing the heavy lifting, I see that as well. Kinda like OU in the Big 12...poke poke..

Richt is a winner at the game of life.  One of the best men in CFB coaching by all accounts. Product of one of the all time greats, Bobby Bowden.  Another guy who couldn’t win the big one...until he did.  Like another Bowden disciple, Mack Brown.  Who couldn’t win the big one...until he did.  I hope Richt one day gets over the hump too.  Always good to see good things happen to good people.

Keep in mind before reading this, I voted for Clinton back in the day!!! I am NOT a straight party voter.
The "fool" you speak of has done more in two years than our predecessor did in 8. Is he abrasive? You bet he is, because he knows the snowflake libtards meltdown every time he opens his mouth. He is not a politician! That is how he got elected in the first place. Why cant people see this?
Does he need to be a little more "presidential"? I would be the first to say "yes" , but the dude can blab and blab all he wants as long as he continues to "drain the swamp" in Washington and get things done. Libtards are celebrating the fact that they won control in the house and good for them, but only 3 times in history has a sitting president gained seats in the house during his first midterm, so it was expected. Don't know the exact numbers but Obama's and Clinton's midterms were devastating both in house and senate. Trump GAINED a senate seat or two, which opens pandora's box for the Dem's when it comes to the Supreme Court and its future.
Now the house is back in Dem's hands, I am curious as to whether they will "legislate" or "investigate"? My bet is the latter because it's unproductive and unproductiveness and entitlement is what they are all about.

Just too bad we cant go to Austin or CS anymore and watch this football game. I had been to about a dozen of them between 1978-2012 (Yes, I was at the last one too and I still want to shoot Justin Tucker every time I see him)
I miss it a lot. Hopefully one day, I can once again have my 2nd or 3rd helping of T-Giving Dinner over a tu-A&M game or be there in person.

I thought both teams were pretty even for the most part. First drive of 2nd half was pivotal for Splendora, Credit to the coaches at halftime. Both defenses seemed to get a bit tougher inside red zone all night. I think Splendora got a bit more pressure on qb, which led to some hurried throws and a couple of picks. I also think Splendora was a bit more physical down the stretch with their running game. Good game.

My how the standards have changed on the 40 acres. Excited about a coach who has lost to Navy, SMU, and Memphis in the same season. DKR must be rollin' in his grave, really! I wish him all the best though, seems like a good dude and all. He will fit right in with the whole austin being weird crowd with how he licks on his players before every game. Seems like a stand up dude too, telling his players at Cougar High that he would never leave them and how much he loved them all year, and then leveraging tu with threats to go to LSU on T-Giving night to speed up the process. Seems like his priorities are straight. I honestly thought Charlie deserved one more year, but the "good ole boy" network that runs tu made sure Charlie never had a chance from day one. Hopefully, he breaks the chain of "crash and burn coaches" from Cougar High.

The fact that anyone can argue a Pac 12 school's schedule is tougher than any SEC school, especially one that has it opponents at a whole .100 % points combined winning percentage behind the Ags, wreaks of lib-sip math. I am betting the farm Washington eventually ends up ahead of the Ags and I am Ok with that, but don't tell me that Portland State, Idaho, or Rutgers (8-16) are any better than the 3 ooc teams A&M play (11-13). C'mon man!!
And if we are gonna throw Stanford and Oregon up on a pedestal, then you must also mention that they squeaked by a horrible Arizona team (2-6, 0-5)

Absolutely a trap game. Every game is a trap game in the SEC. Miss State could definitely win that game.

The picture of the two ex-QB's was good.
Look does A&M deserve the No. 4 spot - very likely no - but the fact that with the current state of affairs in the Longhorn Fieldhouse and for it to get so far under the skin of Texas fans all over the world is priceless.

A comment like "Aggies dont play well at home"  and a subtle jab at the indecisiveness of the conference and you sips come up with this?
For people who always talk about "Aggy" having a pre occupation with tu, you guys sure do rattle the cage a lot. Typical though, and to be expected from lib-sip. Anything less and I would really be disappointed. Even busting out the cartoons!! lol  I really didn't know the level of anxiety was that high on the 40 acres, wow. Yeah, I may be in the front car, but at least I am on the ride and not standing in line at the measuring stick, making sure I am tall enough to ride. I am an Ag fan, have been since I was a kid, but unlike many, I am a realistic fan. I do not see 12-0, or 11-1, or even 10-2 to tell you the truth. The way we have played at home (which is what I pointed out in my earlier post), I see a loss to Tenn this week and obviously one at Bama as well. We could very well lose to LSU and Ole Miss too. The conference is just brutal and physical and I was pointing out the fact that the Ags look a heck of lot more like an SEC team now, rather than a Big 9, 10, 11, 12 team. Sorry if the subtle jab at the big 12 brought out your "artistic" qualities and made you feel the urge to google image search for aggie cartoons, or retrieve them from your "ag bashing" file on your desktop. You have inspired me though! So I did a little search of my own.
Misery loves company. You two keep carrying the torch for lib-sip-nation and one day, hopefully soon, maybe you guys will get to ride again. Ride Charlie Ride!!

Oh and the bad math was a simple oversight. I apologize. I simply forgot about the win over little sister (UTEP) and yes the Ags have one of those as well (PVU). Don't get all butthurt for the little sis reference.

    Dear Charlie Strong,

Did you just see what Aggy did to Spurrier and SC? Is Vince gonna suit up against North Texas? When will you start getting all those 5 star recruits back in town like Mack did? You know Charlie, we were the natl champions in recruiting for about a decade. If Mack can win one championship with all that talent, I know you can win at least 2. Have you thought about hiring Sumlin to coach our offense? I bet he would take a paycut to coach here on the forty acres, Anybody in their right mind would make that career move because after all, we are Texas!! We are entitled. You could let him rent one of your rooms in your house. You know, the room that overlooks Lake Travis. Oh how Kevin would love the Austin sunset sitting on your balcony as you two talk spread option over a bottle of nice Chardonnay.

You know Charlie, if you were not spending so much time on our new network, I know we could be much better as a football team, but understand that we are Texas and sharing with the boys in Oklahoma, Lubbock and Waco just aint happening.Besides, what would we do if we could not watch our beloved girls soccer team beat up on Louisiana Monroe??

Charlie, we really like you. Just sayin' your name gives us hope!! Now get back out there and coach em up.
