1. On  top of the school issues,  what about legal issues concerning the burn ban in effect?
2.

Maroon and White, there is no substitute.
Is it ironic that both your college team and HS team have the same colors?  ;D ;D
Shows extremely good taste. ;)
Only on the high school part!
3. That was a big penalty.  I could  not see whether or not it  was a facemask or not but,  I was watching the play pretty close and saw that the official who threw the flag was right on top of the play watchin the tackle. He had the best view he could have,  so I doubt he missed it.  Not sure that one penalty really changed the game,  but I will agree it was a big one for the Tigers.
4. A  very hard fought in for the Tigers.  Hats off to Orangefield for a great game.  Their defense was tough,  but in the second half the Tigers got going and pulled out the win.  We have to get a little better in the passing game,  mainly just good consistency.  When that happens our offense will be very tough.
5. 1:31 left 2 and9 for the tigers
6. Orangefield has played great defense as have the Tigers. Neither offense has played very well so far.
7. Tigers oline having trouble tonight.
8. Haha always a Tiger fan as  a matter of fact year before last the younger brother played for the Falcons .  So during the playoff game we had to sit on that side of the field. They all wore their red and had me a shirt. I wore my maroon and received grief through the whole game until the end when I got to get my revenge. ;D
9. Thank you any info helps.
10. My father in law is from Huffman,  he said there was a photographer at the game last night taking pictures and thinks there is a website you can see them on.  He wants to see as it was his son that was the honorary captain, the Marine.
11. Does anyone from Huffman have the name of the website where pictures from the game will be posted?
12. You are correct. I didn't notice that I had done that, thinking of years gone by I guess.
13. Thats sounds like a good assessment but I really dont think WOS is having a down year.  I think its more of a product of their schedule
14. Coldspring definitely is a good team but they haven't played good competition yet.  That kinda puts a little cloud over those stats.  Now when playoff time gets here we will really get  to see how impressive these Trojans are. They shouldn't have too much trouble until then.
15. Huffmans defense has performed well but all of thete games but 1 maybe 2 have ben against weak teams.  wait and see how they perform against a coldspring or even Silsbee with allof our weapons.
16. I haven't seen either team play, I didn't make it to Cleveland when they played Silsbee.  They have played some competitive games and I feel their opponents have been stronger than Liberty's.  Liberty's 4 wins were against 3 weak football schools and a private school,  not very strong competition,  if I had pick based on that it would be Cleveland.  Good luck to both.
17. I have no problem with that, don't think I agree with the first one but like I said earlier that should be the closest one.  Huffman hasn't beaten anyone to prove themselves to me yet.  However,  the Tigers have some young players in key positions so come playoff time a lot will depend upon how they perform.
18. Actually it was the second game of the season, you had WOS winning but with ?? At this point,  WOS winning shouldn't be too questionable.  WOS has to be the favorite over my Tigers, and if that is the case shouldn't be much of a question on if they will beat Cleveland or not.
19. That Cleveland team you are talking about was beaten by Silsbee 42-14....
20. You could be right but the question is "will Kirbyville even make it to the first round"? And the follow up would be "If they do make it, will their opponent bust the scoreboard on them?"
21.
I simply see 21-3A going 2-1 in those first round games. DI    Silsbee defeats Huffman DII  WOS defeats Cleveland DII  Coldspring defeats Bridge City
I think thats a good assesment. Out of those the closest has to be the Tigers-Falcons.
22. There has already been some talk of playoff matchups between these  two districts.  I wanted to as the question "Which district has the upper hand this year?"Its going to be hard to say this year because most of the schedules have had a lot of weaker teams or teams having down years this year. The playoff favorites in each district seem to be WOS, Silsbee, and BC in 21-3A and Coldspring, Huffman and Cleveland or maybe Liberty in 22-3A.  So far the toughest schedule has been WOS, then Silsbee .  BC's tougher games have been 5A Vidor and Kelly.  Coldspring no doubt has a good team but their schedule has been weak,  not sure how good Madisonville or Crockett are this year. Huffman has played a good Kingwood Park team and Kashmere(not sure about them) the rest of their schedule has been pretty weak. Cleveland has played some competive games but were beat by the Tigers 42-14 so I am not sure what to expect from them. Liberty's schedule before Huffman,  had Kelly as their strongest opponent.  So far the records of the top 3 teams favor 22-3A but that is due to WOS losing some tough games to tough opponents. With all of this considered, the first round matchups this year should be quite interesting.
23.

my opinion, silsbee should have maybe 2 losses but def 1. Newton should have beat them. its ashame that as bad as newton played we still almost won. because of a bad snap. silsbee is not as good as everyone thinks. they are all soft. i say jasper should have won also. silsbee has been gettin lucky, i see them gettin second in district and goin 1 round deep. Everyone knows they really lost to newton 2 weeks ago. and i think silsbee knows it also. ;)
I totally agree...heck they are mediocre team at best. I watched them play Newton a couple weeks ago.
I am still not sure how good this tiger team will be.  Plenty of weapons,  but a sophomore QB who has some growing to do as well as a sophomore RB.  But no mediocre team is going to go through 5 games, with a larger school and two teams like Newton and Jasper on the schedule, without suffering a loss.  These two sophomores are going to be great for the Tigers the next few years. For those who haven't seen Spearman yet,  he has the build of a true RB and is a tough runner,  he is a huge asset for the Tigers.  As far as this team we have several players with the speed to score any time they get into a little bit of open space.
24.

Not real sure how either of these teams stack up against each other, but didn't huffman lose a qb and a couple of recievers that were a huge part of those last three games with then Tigers?
Yes they did lose a QB and receivers. They lost 5 defensively and several offensive lineman. Somehow this season, they continue to score points. The Silsbee/Huffman matchup will be discussed heavily at a later date. Hopefully we just make the playoffs! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Yes both teams have some  work to do before worrying about the other, but  they should meet.
