  1. I never cared about who's in a district, you still gotta show up and play. The score may not have showed it, but I saw we can play with anyone in district 10. Talent wasn't Memorial's problem this year, and lack of execution was on offense. Blame it on whoever, 5 tds on blown coverages and we was able to move the ball. Every lose ball bounced their way. I was more impressed by losing to the #10 by 42 than anything I saw all season.

What has happened to PAM? Serious question.

Young QB trying to grow into a position at the moment he doesn't fit but has potential. Tons of small things, instead of diving to make a tackle they chasing and reaching trying to grab jersey which makes a play of no gain into a 5 or 8 yard gain, same with instead of just tackling they're trying to strip the ball on every play which leads to miss tackles and big gains. Offensive line stays in flux, once you get a group that does ok, somebody gets hurt. A bunch of small things that add up to a big problem.

True!  But wasn't one of the HC's in the discussion of certain schools!

I only asked because I haven't heard that name in a while. Met him when I was in the 8th grade as a PA kid. He would always tease me and tell me that I should've move to BMT with my uncle and play for him. Every time I would see him we would talk, not just about sports, but about life, just anything. Played against him in 84, 85, and 86. He left a great impression on me, and I had tons of respect for him.

Those guys had some success, how about Hentschel (RIP) at WB, he couldn't get past first round of playoffs, but did compete. Central and Ozen made the playoffs, but it's never been good enough. Folks wanted the Hebert days of winning a state championship and wasn't going to be satisfied until they got one or beat mid county teams. Let's be honest with this assessment. Houston area is where the majority of talent is at so the triangle is lucky to get 3 rounds deep now. WB caught lightning in a bottle last year, Central had a couple good runs, Ozen I think had one run. All that said, you could pick worse coaches then the list you have. You telling none of those years they were lacking on talent? Football IQ? Grades? Discipline? Negative towards program? Parents getting involved? All on the coaches?

Coach Hentchel, wasn't he the old coach for South Park? If so, he was a great guy and a solid football coach.

  5. Could it be that kids aren't buying into the program? I haven't sat on a WB side for a game, but I have for a Central and a Ozen one and it sounds just like a Memorial Titans game. Everyone is talking down on the program. Every players parent knows more than the coach. If the parent doesn't fully support the program, why would the kid that's playing? I don't know if the culture has changed for BU as far as fans go, but if you have kids playing for themselves and not fully trusting the system, you tend to break down when things get tight because it turns into hero ball.

  6. Defense on a whole played well, but the 2 big pass plays were back breakers, and the fumble in the redzone leading to the 3rd td didn't help either. I don't care how this season turns out. I refuse to talk down on these kids or this team. 4 turnovers will kill you every time. I did like what I saw out of Milton, especially on that last drive, he threw the ball accurately and with timing. I hope they start giving him more reps.

i believe PAM might have a shot. why?? The weather. not because of its going to be a little chilly(50's), but because of the threat of a strong north wind. that should help slow NC passing attack. If the man behind the curtain don't get cute with the ball and keep it to the little screens, they might be okay. also any heavy passing teams out there, do yall think this will be a problem for teams like West Brook?

If you don't think we have a chance in good conditions, why would bad ones make a difference? Do Memorial block or tackle better in bad conditions? I think we have a chance because I think the defense is playing better and tackling better. The line is playing better, and if we stop all them drops we can cause some problems. 18 drops in 2 games and still had 400 yards in both of them.

Speaking of OL I kept hearing Caines name all night long along with Rodriguez. Caines had some pancakes from what I was hearing.

Yeah Caines got at least 3 cakes that I saw, if #52 is Rodriguez, he stood out too. He was playing with a chip on his shoulder. DE #41 Thomas the sophomore had good game too, he did a great job holding his outside leverage. There was a lot of good things happening out there, QB dropped 2 snaps on like 2nd a 3, making it 3rd 15 putting them behind the chains. Small things was killing drives. The only thing I hate, I won't say no names but there's a kid or 2, who's more concerned about getting touches and numbers than they are about winning, that can become problematic.

As a fan, I’m taking into account it’s hard to grade if there is any improvement when you play a very bad team. Like in the Madison game. A bad team can make u look good. Yes a win is a win. If the goal is to get to playoffs, I think a third place finish is realistic, but 4th would not surprise me. They are about 2-3 years from being good again

What are you looking for, when at team plays a poor team to see if there's any improvement? When they played Madison, the defense was arm tackling and there was a ton of missed tackles. Thursday, there were few blown assignments, and they played behind their pads and actually was hitting people.....improvement. O line played with somewhat of a mean streak, and actually fired off the ball and held blocks better......improvement.  The QB consistantly found the open WR, he under threw some, or the receiver dropped some but he's shown that he's starting to process what he's seeing....improvement. You actually notice that we had linebackers this game "GIANT IMPROVEMENT!!" I can see the potential in this team, and I can see it coming together. Will they get there? I dunno, but if they do....it's gonna be interesting, because they are getting better every week.

Even if they lose to NC, 7-3 ain't bad considering what they lost from last year, current injuries, and a sophomore which may be trying to do too much

They are right there, I see the week to week improvements, they had over 400 yards of offense Thursday. GP, couldn't do anything with them, self inflicted wounds stopped them and kept them in the game. All they have to do is continue to clean up their game by the end of district and they will be fine. Even if they don't, I'm still 100% in with these kids.

  11. I personally don't care if we win 3 to 2 every game as long as we get the win. The defense showed a little bite tonight, they at least tried to hit something tonight instead of trying to hug their grandma. Inexperience at the QB position is holding them back right now, I hope the light comes on, but Ned dropped a TD, a bad  fumble call on the 8 yardline, my son gets stripped at the 50, and a blown coverage for a td. This could have easily been a 49-0 game.
