Thanks guys was at the game last night very emotional scene to say the least I'm just in shock about all this.

I guess I missed out on all the grey hound talk but I'm very familiar with 4 Horsemen.  5>4 so I'll take the Colmesniel.

Against Alto Crockett passed majority of the time.  What few times they ran out of spread they either got stuffed at the line or dropped for a loss.  They did come out in 2nd half under center some with an over loaded side and had some big runs.

Crocketts OL is huge but they couldn't block Alto's DL , Crockett QB was getting flushed out of pocket a lot.  Crockett WR's are good , Lucky Daniels already has 6 receiving TD's in 2 games.

I read somewhere Corrigan - 73 , Groveton - 33 not 100% sure but somewhere in that nature.

I never said Alto was the best team in 2a and Newton is 3a and what do they have to do with my post?  

Alto had 18 new starters to start the season and suits out 23.  Alto mauled Crockett's lines on both sides.  It doesn't hurt to have arguebly the best player in 2a in Keenan Johnson.

Crockett does have big play capability though.  

Also their RB from last year #3 Wiley-Harris is out for year with torn achilles but his replacement wasn't to shabby.

I'm glad this was made a topic I had been checking in on here lately and was very disappointed in not seeing any HD Nation or horsemen talk.  My day has been made.

So Evadale beet HD in the 400m relay , hmmm

 

But as far HD who this is about: will they win a playoff game? 

Don't think so.  4 teams will make it in 2a next year but it'll be Centerville , Groveton , Shiro and them Lions from Lovelady. Horsemen and HD 55 start the roundball on time once again  :lol:

Alto's 4 x 100 relay ran at the Texas Relays in Austin this past weekend and qualified for the finals by finishing 5th out of 40 teams and finished 6th in finals.  

Their was no 4 horsemen , HD 55 , or bobcats sightings.

Their was however relay teams by the names of Dallas Carter , Houston Wheatley , Episcopal Bellaire , ect. , not sure if these guys are on HD level though , help a fella out.  B)

If HD can dominate the 4A and 3A track meets, Alto better be ready... HD sprint relay is cold blooded!

Dude , Alto smoked the competition in winning state in sprint relay last year or did you forget?  And all them kids are back , do you think they all of the sudden forgot how to run? 

If you have not seen the HD track team, both boys and girls are smashing 4A-3A teams at the meets.

Must not have been to a meet Alto was at yet  :P

Alto sprint won state last year and 2nd place wasn't even close at state.  All them guys are back.  Unless they blow a hammy or get disqualified they'll be their again.

Oh, and the HD district is the weakest overall in Region 3!  

Hey HD what happened to the QB Groveton had that started the last 3 years Kempner?  And the RB from last year James?

Yeah, he's been the main man. I've never heard of a team punt the way Carlisle does. The snap it to the QB under center and he pitches it back to the punter to kick :blink:  :blink:

Yeah they did that weird punting look on us and we had a guy fly in , didn't block the kick but disrupted it and made him kick a ball strait up for not much of a net gain.

Joequin did same punt formation in 07' and 08' when we played them in playoffs and blocked a punt both years , I really don't understand it.

Carlisle already over 120+ yards rushing , sounds like QB is doing most the damage , strange , he didn't do any running against us nor did it look like he could have.

Centerville is good , but I think it's kinda hard to tell just how good IMO.  That district was poo and the 13- win over Lovelady is a bit of a head scratcher , as their are several teams that will bring more than Lovelady. 

It seems spread/speed teams may be their weakness as Mart , Corrigan , and Trinity put up BIG #'s on them and all 3 of them have speed.

If SA beats Harleton it wouldn't surprise me if they give Centerville fits.

Carlisle plays hard and will be prepared for this game.  Like him or not , Rocky's team will play hard for 48 minutes and he'll have a good game plan to attack Groveton.

I think Carlisle wins this one , might go check it out since Bullard Stadium is 5 mins from the house.

This is a shocker to me!

If HD loses this game then they must have really nose dived.  West Hardin got beat by Grapeland who is pathetic ( only win so far this year ).  We were up on them 56-0 at half last Friday.

1-3 record before tonight. I am thinking no!

Crockett's only bad loss was to Alto by 3 TD's.  Game with Madisonville coulda gone either way and they got screwed at Rusk by home town clock operating ( Rusk threw 3 deeps passes to endzone in 10 seconds before half??  No way!! )
