Wouldn't be surprised if we faced each other again next year in the Regional Finals as I see us winning district next year and being on the other side of the bracket. Thought you guys returned 7 on offense though?? Lost 3 lineman and the big TE #99?? We return 9/8 on each side. -

Their's been a lotta teams over the years who talked a lotta smack when they've played Alto and whenever Alto has won nearly all the time the opposition came back on the forums and had the excuses and said we wern't that good or got lucky and so forth. But I'll give ya props HD 55 for being classy. We may have sparred some but your just a passionate fan who loves your Bobcats.
I'll give it to HD, you guys were definately a lot bigger than us and played hard. Woulda been easy to fold it in at 21-0. Like a post on the other thread said, I think speed was the factor with Alto on offense with the quick traps/counters and kickin' it to the outside.
With all you guys have returning next year maybe we'll do it again. Only ones that we lose are #'s 1, 6, 8, 65, 70 -

Yes, HD had a weak district, but they dominated like they should have. The scores may not reflect that, but Finney likes to let his foot off the gas when the victory is well within hand. HD has won 5 games in a row and here's what the scores were at one point:
HD vs. O'Connell - (34-0 2nd qtr)
HD vs. Normangee - (43-6 3rd qtr)
HD vs. Iola - (36-16 4th qtr)
HD vs. WH - (44-6)
HD vs. Colmesneil - (27-0 2nd qtr)

If Whitaker is unable to go, I think his loss is bigger on the defensive side of the ball at LB. Don't get me wrong, he's a helluva RB, and gets the hard/tough yards , but the kid who stepped in last friday had 230+ yards rushing. -
I love how everyone wants to bring up the "Groveton beat Alto" card. I guess since Shelbyville beat Groveton we aint got the snow balls chance against Shelbyville? Yes Alto played bad that night and the better team in Groveton won that night, but like I've said, there's been changes since then and a few of the injured back, but no excuse Groveton beat us.
West Sabine brought up the Groveton/Alto game and look where it got them? Same thing will happen to HD if we play them!
I doubt HD can hang with top 3 with Districft 10

No West Sabine didn't beat themseleves, the more physical and better TEAM won. Like I said, yall havn't been hit all year and it showed. WS never could stop the power run and Lacey was constantly getting put on the ground. -
Alto was the more physical team running right at WS all night and occasionally kickin it to the outside for good gains. Then lulle dem to sleep with the pass for a couple scores.
Alto D' forced turnovers and hit their QB all night. -

All three wowed me! Tradition, they have never won it, but have been very deep in playoffs numerous times including semi-finals I believe. Top 3 teams from your district will be WS, Alto, and SA in that particular order. That being said, this is why we play the games, it could easily go several others ways, but that is my prediction. No one knows who is the best for sure, if they think they do, they are an idiot! Too close to call 100%

The QB you are thinking of #2 Whitaker is primarily at RB this year, the Sturns kid #7 who transferred from Rusk last winter is Alto's primary QB this year. -

Maybe not all season.........Hubbard probably runs the ball harder than Davis did last year, Taylor is like trying to catch lightning, don't forget about Thomas he'll sneek one in on you when your not looking, plus when Tanner decides to tuck the ball and run he makes you sorry that you stepped in the way, oh yea and we have Davis' little brother who showed some awesome break away speed last week against Grapeland! (That's just on Offense)

I've sen SA this year, Alto is just as athletic as SA, only difference is mostly all SA are Srs. and Alto's is Jr./Sophs.
Alto's QB/RB tandem are pretty talented, don't forget those big/fast WR's on outside either! -
#2 for Alto will be the best player West Sabine has faced all year and #4 is a man for just a Soph.! Loads of talent gonna be on the visitor sideline Friday in Pineland! We're comin'!

I would like to hear how Alto or HD would stop the RB and QB from Mart next year. They ran through Alto like they were pop warner. I suspect with the RB being a sophmore and the QB being a junior they will be more difficult to stop than they were this year as freshman and sophmore.

I got Mart in the top 3 of Region 3 with Alto and HD and West Sabine #4. True , Mart has the RB and QB back but losing 4 linemen will have a drop off in the trenches IMO. Plus #20 and #2 graduated as well on the outside. It wasnt like Mart stopped Alto either, Whitaker ran all over them.
