[/quote] Yeah Pinelandflash, I fully expect our game to be for the district championship.  I also don't think it's entirely out of the question for both of us to be 6-0 and possibly play each other again in round 4.  I think Shelbyville will be improved, SA will still be good, but their fans are dillusional if they think they are gone be as good as last year.  Grapeland as athletes/talent but would rather be on basketball court.  Cushing is Cushing. [/quote] That's fine, it's your opinion and I respet it.  That OL they had last year was really good and losing 4/5 may be a drop off but who knows.  Bryant was a stud to.  We gave em all they wanted last year and return 9/8, I'm pretty optimistic we will give them everything they want this year and may just come out on top ( assuming we meet up which I think we will )

On 1atexasfootball.com their is a topic that Twine is out of Hemphill and transferred to Falls City ( 1a ) but I've seen nothing regarding this on here or Smoaky, can anyone confirm one way or the other?

WS [/quote]  Good post HD9, I enjoy reading your insight on here as you are the only HD fan with any sense.  I'm telling right now, Alto is not going to drop off with Gardner retiring, all will be setled very soon regarding that.  Mart will be intersting, those Linemen they are losing were very good as was their WR's that graduated as well.  Mart will be their, if Thomas gets hurt though then they could be in trouble.  HD will be their to, lack of speed could hurt in the end though. I see our district as: 1. Alto 2. WS 3. SA/Grapeland/Shelbyville 6.  Poor lil ol Cushing, who could probably get 3rd in Hd district.

I suspect with the RB being a sophmore and the QB being a junior they will be more difficult to stop than they were this year as freshman and sophmore. [/quote] I got Mart in the top 3 of Region 3 with Alto and HD and West Sabine #4.  True , Mart has the RB and QB back but losing 4 linemen will have a drop off in the trenches IMO.  Plus #20 and #2 graduated as well on the outside.  It wasnt like Mart stopped Alto either, Whitaker ran all over them.

[/quote] Their's been a lotta teams over the years who talked a lotta smack when they've played Alto and whenever Alto has won nearly all the time the opposition came back on the forums and had the excuses and said we wern't that good or got lucky and so forth.  But I'll give ya props HD 55 for being classy.  We may have sparred some but your just a passionate fan who loves your Bobcats. I'll give it to HD, you guys were definately a lot bigger than us and played hard.  Woulda been easy to fold it in at 21-0.  Like a post on the other thread said, I think speed was the factor with Alto on offense with the quick traps/counters and kickin' it to the outside. With all you guys have returning next year maybe we'll do it again.  Only ones that we lose are #'s 1, 6, 8, 65, 70

I love how everyone wants to bring up the "Groveton beat Alto" card.  I guess since Shelbyville beat Groveton we aint got the snow balls chance against Shelbyville?  Yes Alto played bad that night and the better team in Groveton won that night,  but like I've said, there's been changes since then and a few of the injured back, but no excuse Groveton beat us. West Sabine brought up the Groveton/Alto game and look where it got them?  Same thing will happen to HD if we play them! I doubt HD can hang with top 3 with Districft 10 Still takin SA.
