Cushing is a 4 seed. Deweyville is a 1...

This will be a much different game than back in September...
1. DV will have 4 starters that weren't available the first game (3 starter O/D Linemen)
2. Due to Hurricane Laura, DV was completely out of power during this time.
3. DV was able to scrounge up 13 kids for a single 1 &1/2 hr practice, the day before the first game of the season vs Cushing.
4. Cushing's big bruiser FB/LB had knee surgery last week. He was a key player on that team.
Cushing scored all 3 of their TD's in the first 6 mins of the game. (1 offensive drive, 1 special teams and 1 red-zone turnover). They were held scoreless the last 42 mins of the game. They ran the option but now, split time with 2 QB's, in the option and in the Spread. Sure, we got beat and this is in no way an excuse...just trying to prove my point that Cushing will face a different team tomorrow night.

Cushing will see a very different Pirate team than they faced 5 days after Laura hit. 

Hate to hear that for HD...It's tough enough trying to keep a 20-25 kids healthy down at our level. I know the ones that do hit the field will play hard regardless.

everyone was kinda expecting this after Shelbyville beat San Augustine, this ends up being a game that is pointless for either team ,  so for WH it would have been another long drive to another slaughter house with a group of youngins that’s all been through the ringer all year , you only got two seniors on the team both are your rbs/mlbs So their basically both beat to a pulp and One of them been playing most the year with a serious knee injury. And as far as Shelbyville it’s a win either way but if they played they’d take a chance of getting someone hurt going into the playoffs. So with all that In consideration WH takes a knee 
  With that being said hats off to All the WH players that’s gutted it out every game  knowing what they were walking into and and having good sportsmanship and good attitudes week in and week out!  And good luck to Shelbyville hopefully they can go make some noise With Timpson and Joaquin!!

No sir, they've had low numbers all year and (from what I understand) several of the freshmen parents pulled their kids earlier in the season. That, along with some injuries, and I guess they were just too thin. 

Some of you don't realize that a lot of the schools locally do not use the local TASO Chapter of officiating. Several use the Houston Chapter.
So some of these officiating crews you are speaking of are not the SETX chapter. Just keep that in mind.

I'm proud to see the Mustangs rebuilding their program. Great game Burkeville! These kids played hard every single snap. Regardless of the score...they brought it. I must say, there are some really good athletes on that team, and they only dress 14-15 young men. That says a lot in my book. I'm hoping for a bright future for y'all!

Not really, Dville won 53-14.  And the fact that HD beat High Island by 56 doesn't reverse Dville's win over HD

And yet again, there were 3 pages of excuses. Congratulations on your computer rankings, seems you thirst for validation. I understand how much stronger your schedule was with poor West Hardin and Pasadena Christian as opposed to Cushing and Warren. We took those "L's" and we are better for it...nobody cares about excuses (except you). DEWEYVILLE BEAT HULL-DAISETTA head to head. Regardless of how many "Horsemen" you have or how fast they are. Please get over your loss. Your team got beat. You lost. And no matter what post you make, you can't change that. You do have my vote for SETX Sports Forum's "Cry-Baby of the Year" though.

It's too bad that computer ranking doesn't change the outcome of that Deweyville/Horsemen game. 🍿
