Hudson won 53-51 What an environment - packed out gym - super loud - this was a great game - back and forth all night! Don't know exactly how many Asia Mitchell finished with -I think she had 21 in scoring her 1000 career point at JHS!

Junior guard Asia Mitchell is just 17 points shy of scoring 1000 for her career at JHS! So proud of this kid and how she has led our team this year. I have looked back and tried to see if Jasper has ever had a 1000 point scorer... I am sure we have but not in recent years. This season Asia is averaging 17 points, 5 rebounds, 1.2 assist, and 3 steals a game. She was RoyReportMedia player of the week for January 1st and VYPE mid-season MVP. She is also just a great kid and a pleasure to coach! Straight A student ranked #23 in her class!

Sounds like PNG girls lost focus a little. Prob had a lot going on this week. Part of the process. Plus BH is very good. I expect PNG to bounce back!

Silsbee has a great team - don't think anyone really thought this was going to be a close game. They took care of business the way they should have. From this thread it looks like the lumberton kids played hard - they always do - every since Coach Mitchell got there they have - regardless of what assistants he has brought in. Sign of a great coach is one that will bring in great quality assistant coaches and then let them work and do their job. Mitchell knows basketball and knows how to get kids to compete! Lack discipline and fundamentals? - that's laughable. lol
