Yeah - I am trying to remember the last time the UIL suspended a coach for recruitment..

AUSTIN, Texas — The State Executive Committee of the University Interscholastic League met Tuesday to hand down decisions for UIL rule violations. Former Duncanville High School coach Cathy Self-Morgan was found guilty of recruiting violations and issued a three-year suspension from coaching and a public reprimand. Self-Morgan will be expected to appear before the State Executive Committee before coaching again at a UIL member school. The Duncanville High School girls basketball program was issued two years probation.

LH has tradition. Tradition never graduates! Go LH!

This is the trend in basketball. NBA and NCAA have been this way for years now. It is the AAU effect. Only a matter of time for UIL to be dominated by recruited super teams too. Have you seen the story on Duncanville girls program?

Ok, good deal - I have been able to see them play a few times over the past three years - it has been fun to see how they developed and matured - we could see the potential and now they are fulfilling it... Great team! Good Luck to them tomorrow! Bring it Home!

We haven't been able to secure a date with United for next year yet - but we have stepped our schedule up a notch or two - scheduled so far: at PNG, Nacogdoches, PAM, Coldspring, Chireno, Home: HJ, Livingston, Splendora, Woden, Cushing Tournaments: Lumberton, Splendora, Woodville

Jasper up 10-8

Sounds like Conyers and Cole Ferguson will be a good matchup to watch!

Well with EC out that does it for SETX..... Can we claim Shelbyville as a SETX team?

Sutherland is the best I have seen at adjusting his press till it works

just has to work a few times to work and get some momentum

Sounds like EC just missing shots... they should settle down and the press should start working

Lufkin Hudson - graduated about 7 seniors off a team that went 7-17 and missed the playoffs- rebuilding year - good time for a new hire maybe... Beaumont Westbrook - not sure what they have coming back as far as players - would like to see them hire someone solid to get this program going in the right direction!

They can only put 5 on the floor at the same time right? Yates by 12

oldschool2 - you should read "The Miracle of St Anthony" by Adrian Wojnarowski... Good read and has a lot of thought on this very topic! I agree with your idea here for the most part - but the exceptions are so much more interesting... I have always preferred to work with the "student B" from this comparison - that kid is usually a little tougher and wants it a little bit more...

We did a great job keeping this Girls Message Board Relevant! Thanks to everyone that posted.

Great season HJ!!
