Jasper scores again with 4:07 to go. 54-19. Remember that the Roughriders led 14-6 after the first quarter. That's a 48-5 run for the Bulldogs since. Still no word on Hunt's injury, but they have at least 4 more really good tailbacks...

Jasper scores a TD on a fake field goal. 47-19 with about 8 minutes left.

Jasper scores on a 58 yd TD run. 33-19 Dawgs. The defense seems to have made good adjustments and Center's gonna have a tougher time scoring from here on out.

We definitely seem to be lacking focus, but we should be okay if we can eliminate some mistakes. Center definitely came to play. We just scored as I'm typing this, but the conversion failed. 14-12 Center about halfway through the 2nd quarter.

On paper, Jasper should win this game handily, but Center's gonna be ready to play and I'm curious about how Coach Barbay will approach it. Will the starters get more snaps? Will Hunt be used as the feature back again? What are your thoughts?

I haven't paid very close attention to them since we played back in October. Are they showing signs of getting better or has the district been really weak and you can't really tell?

I predict that Huntington will play the game of their lives, but WOS will win 45-3.

Jasper had played clean football all season leading up to Friday night. I expect a focused Bulldog team in Center this week and a big game for Montavien Hunt. That spells trouble for the Roughriders.

I like your positive outlook and you're right. Mr. Lay has been a first class gentleman for as long as I've known of him.

Mr. Lay called Hunt's name on one of those TD runs, but he's getting to the point that I can't trust a lot of what he's calling anymore and the other guy isn't much better.

If we lose that game, I will shave my head. I usually do on Fridays anyway. LOL

He'll get more carries against Tarkington after the week off. Gotta keep him sharp. I think that Center game might be a good one for a half.

I've barely heard Hunt's name at all because they haven't needed him. The other backs have played really well.

There was a time that it felt like SETX football was the best in the state because there were a lot of teams capable of making really deep playoff runs. I think people have forgotten about most teams in the area because the same few programs are always making the most noise come playoff time. They're looking at Jasper as an upstart based on the voting, but they're not really paying attention to what's going on there. I agree with Soulja. Woodville's getting the short end of the stick, too.
