I'm usually pretty conservative with my predictions early on because Jasper usually comes out of the gate a little sluggish. This year feels different. Jasper 44-14.

Just ordered my copy to be shipped here to Albuquerque for the first time since the 1990 season. It wasn't cheap with the freight and membership that they require, but I didn't want to wait another month until I'm down there to get it. It'll be worth every penny...

Washington just got to Omaha for the first time ever with a 6-5 win over Cal State-Fullerton in 10 innings. They came from behind in both the 9th and 10th innings to win.

I gotta go with Jasper. This is the best Bulldog team in years and they don't really have a glaring weakness...

You're right about that. I went through about a ten year stretch not hearing him at all before streaming became a thing and it was so cool to hear him again. He was always good to me, but I haven't seen him since I moved away many years ago.

If you look at state and national rankings on maxpreps, it's pretty close. Robinson - #21 in all of Texas; #202 nationally. Jasper - #20 in all of Texas; #195 nationally. I know the Texas rankings are regardless of classification, so I'm assuming it's the same nationally. I don't know how they get their numbers, but to be in the top 5% in the country means both teams are very, very good. I'll take Jasper in 3 games.

Agreed. I usually can get behind most of what Jasper ISD decides to do, but this issue with us not scheduling Silsbee or WOS really is disturbing. Jasper needs to step up and work this out.

Who's on Jasper's schedule? It sucks that Silsbee isn't.

This is really underwhelming for Jasper. Center's usually pretty good and Shepherd can be at times, but Tarkington and Huntington aren't competitive at all. I hope the pre-district schedule is beefed up some.
