I will say I'm proud of the way our boys played on defense in the first half. Pleasant Groove has some pretty big and scary looking kids and we looked every bit like we belonged out there with them. Was even getting the best of them for a little while. We just gave out though.

Let Brisbane play. He'll make some mistakes, no doubt, but we can forgive it considering he's just a 10th grader who's barely had a chance to play yet. It'll be an upgrade. I don't want to see us beat some team we're supposed to beat by a gazillion TDs as an excuse to keep Foster either.

Silsbee stopped PG on their first offensive series, then actually put together a competent drive that lead to a short Foster run for a TD. We're falling apart now. Turnover Silsbee.

Halftime. Pleasant Grove - 13 Silsbee - 0 Silsbee defense is the MVP of this first half. If it weren't for them, we'd be down by five or six touchdowns already. If our offense weren't so pitiful, this would be a competitive ballgame. Malik Jones is ballin on defense tonight.

Drelon Miller with the longest run of the night. Too bad that ain't saying much.

Well if there's anything to be positive about so far tonight, the Tiger defense has looked really good at times. Man I'm about done with Foster though 🤬

I suppose you could argue none of the upcoming Silsbee kids have done anything yet. I predict there will be 3 - 5 Tigers on the list next year.

They're just doing what they see their heroes in the NBA do. Let's all get together on the same two or three teams and try to win a title every year. Makes things so exciting.

1994 Silsbee Those Spearman/McGuire led teams were really good. Didn't get as far as we should have cause of unfortunate injuries.

Probably gonna lose by four or five touchdowns if we can't pass the ball. Only hope is if PG doesn't have a great run defense. At least we had the balls to attempt this game with such a young squad. I guess that counts for something.

Only excuse you can make for Foster is he's playing with a lot of new kids on offense. Maybe they need a few games together before things start to improve. He doesn't get better in the very near future, then maybe it's time for a change.

Miller is 21. God I hope he doesn't get hurt. And Brisbane looked good, but those were very safe passes to make. Maybe that's what Foster needs.

Too bad we don't have a passing game. Foster doesn't have his security blanket this year in Cartwright to sling it to. We play a good passing team that can stop the run and we're toast. I'm glad we won, but don't get carried away. Some of this is Lumberton ain't that good.
