I think Harris, Harper and Miller are pretty safe bets to start. If I had to guess the other two, maybe Gilder and Jones or Williams. Gilder did start most games from last year. Jones could give us that big we've been missing, assuming he's improved and can stay out of foul trouble. Most the really young cats will probably rotate off the bench.

Worse of the rain is supposed to be over in between 7 - 9 tonight. That gives the field a little over 20 hours to dry out.

Does McClure have any help at all in Lumberton? Teams are just gonna gang up up him if he doesn't. Same with LCM. When I seen them play, it was one kid doing most the work. I'd imagine we'll be seeing a healthy does of Harper/Harris for Silsbee early in the season. Bridge City is a decent team as long as they're making their 3s. Problem is it's hard to shoot consistently like that for four quarters. WOS games just won't be the same anymore with out Coach Barstool, although the team will probably play better.

I really hate these idiots who think they have a right to get sick and make other people sick. Just goes to show you how stuck on stupid America really is. It is unfortunate that the kids playing the game have to be punished. They didn't do anything wrong.

How good is West Orange's pass offense? Silsbee has a pretty good defense. Their only real weakness shown so far this year is against the pass. That might keep this game from getting out of hand. Keep it from getting out of hand till the second half anyways. We're not good. Good teams don't turn the ball over 3 - 4 times a game. We've had four games (three and a half if you're being picky) to fix this. Wouldn't surprise me if this plays out like the Pleasant Groove game. Final score might be ugly.

Hamshire Fannett also lost to a Houston Washington team in the playoffs that, frankly, wasn't very good. Yes I realize Silsbee just barely squeaked by that same team, but that was the absolute worse game the Tigers played the entire year by a long shot.

I think we lost our entire OL from last year. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose to teams not named WOS in district. We just ain't that good. It's a rebuilding year as far as I'm concerned.
