Crazy some of the teams Livingston (and Cleveland) had back then. If Silsbee can't beat BTW they really wouldn't have had much of a chance at state. So let's see if we can get this W first. Been looking closer at FF. It's ridiculous. Silsbee would have to go completely against their nature and play Arglye style ball to have a chance.

Miller had 26. Harris had 22 for the Tigers tonight.

Game went about how I thought it would assuming the Tigers played well. Close for about 3 quarters but ending bad for Connally. Game last year played out the same way. Connally can't compete with Silsbee for 4 full quarters.

Can we at least shoot a little over 20 percent from 3 tonight? Do that and I'll feel pretty good about this game. Afraid the 4A championship is already a foregone conclusion this year though. And wow, Lufkin took down Sulphur Springs and is now gonna play Kimball. Be funny if we got Lufkin vs United at state.

If the Silsbee team that blew out Westbrook and pulled away for a comfy win against Lufkin shows up, Connally is in trouble. If the Tiger team that played in Dallas shows up, Silsbee might be in trouble. I'll go with Silsbee by 10. Hopefully.

Silsbee hasn't played that great these entire playoffs. Hopefully that'll change really soon.

I'd only consider this Silsbee team to be pretty good at the moment. They've had their issues this year.

A win is a win. That's all that matters. GCM gotta feel sick though. Still wouldn't hurt to play better against whoever BU's next opponent is.

Seems like LCM always gives out in the second half against good teams.

Enjoyed the interviews after the game. They even talked to some parents. Miller looks almost as tall as Harris now just a lot thicker.

Most of these kids have been playing the same style of basketball since they could walk lol. They already got years under their belts before they even make it to high school. That and a very healthy pipeline of athletes is a nice combo.

We could get a rematch with Center. They're another good team that wasn't ranked early in the season or was ranked really low for whatever reason.

If you think about it Silsbee is missing 3 key players from last year's team. Gilder, Baltrip, and Jones. One of those couldn't be helped and the other two graduated. It's been my opinion the Tigers are still a year away for a while now. Afraid I might be proven right eventually. Glad we managed to sweat this one out. Think we're 4 - 3 all time against Yates now.

Think we may have to sweat this one out a little more than some people think. Tigers by 4. If Yates is smart, they'll watch the first Silsbee/West Orange game and try to learn something. Don't know if Yates has a player as good as #23 for WOS though. Of course they'll probably try to make it a track meet. Fine by me. I just hope we don't forget how to make free throws like we did in last year's game.

Furr seems decent. Lets hope we shoot the 3 ball a little better than last game.

WOS should do what Silsbee does and make long full court passes to beat Yates press. Toss the ball over the top of that mess.

West Orange has played Yates once or twice, I think. It didn't go well for the Mustangs either time. Maybe this will be the year.

I imagine West Orange's size could be giving HJ fits. Hawks ain't that big.

Harris needs a third dunk. Don't think he's had 3 in a game this year. Could have got 3 against Vidor, but he passed the ball.

All this talk about the boys being so young, the Silsbee girls starting lineup is also really young. They ain't beating HJ though. Not sure it'll even be that close if that game happens.

Looks like this will be Hardin Jefferson's shot at taking down Yates finally. They had two Sears kids on their roster if I remember correctly. I'm guessing it's the older one who isn't playing anymore. Not sure if I'd like a Yates/Silsbee game this year or not. They'll have payback on their minds and nothing to really to lose.

Never want to underestimate your opponent. Hope the Tigers come out with a sense of urgency and play like it's their last game, which technically it could be for the year.

Think Vidor may have had 2 more points than they should have. They called off a Pirate basket towards the start of the third and didn't take the 2 points off the board. That's okay, I guess. We'll let them have it.
