Yes we did. Everyone knew that Lumberton would accommodate their guests to the best of their abilities, no matter the circumstances. To complain would be a foreign and perplexing (and very immature) thing to do for HF fans, or pretty much any fan around the state. We look forward to reciprocating the hospitality in years to come...like both sides have done for over 50 years. But as you know...some yahoo(s) will inevitably spoil the fun. With this ruling, I'm curious if any "incentive" exists for the property to be sold for actual value. For example, if the State is owed...say $10,000, but the property is worth...say $200,000, what would prevent the State from selling the property for just $10,000 (especially to a campaign donor). I'm 100% in favor of the ruling. If some kind of fair market value rules do not exist for these types of sales, that definitely should be looked into.
