Kind of what I was thinking. -

this game will be won or lost by PNG's suspect secondary IMO.
Our secondary will be fine, i'm worried about our linebackers. Thats where our issues are. -
Lumberton by two touchdowns.
-
I believe around 1986 or 87 Nederland players ran through our runthrough before the game. Got to admit that was a good one, gutsy at our stadium. I liked it though it was funny a little later.
-
Even as good as Livingston is on offense they are not very good on defense. I thing Central will match up better defensively against Livingston. I'm saying Central is front runner followed closely by LCM, then Livingston and PNG. Still early though, don't count anyone out.

Best looking bulldog i ever seen. :D
-
Should be good but i'll take Lumberton in a close one.

Lions had 500+ yards of total offense and scored on EVERY possession..
Not every possesion. they fumbled once. We did not stop them on any possesion. I do believe though that some other teams in our district may match up better defensively. Our defense is weak, our offense is as good as i've seen but defense is hurting.

PNG has no excuses, Livingston lined up and ran up the middle, around the end, and any other way that you could run the ball. We stacked everyone on the line of scrimmage and was trying to tackle the wrong man all night. These boy's need to learn how to tackle low. They were hitting their back's up high and they were finding way's out of tackle's. We would have them for a loss and they would spring loose. They may need to suit up and start practicing in full pad's and learn how to tackle. The coaches can't make the tackle's for them. They were in the right places, but could not make the play. Honestly, we have been exposed through the air and tonite we were exposed on the ground. We have had very poor play out of our LB's all season. They are undersized and are not very physical. It's like our defense is built to stop the pass but we can't even do that. Other team's in the district may stack up better against Livingston's offense, but our defense was no match for them. Our offense is really good but it look's like we will be in a lot of shootout's.

I agree with this.........Congrats to Livingston. -

The Lions have a little surprise in store for you injuns can't reveal it just yet but by the middle of the third quater injun fans will be saying where did that guy come from?
Thats ironic.........You just might get to see a little surprise yourself, something not seen yet this year. -

If the UIL lets this kid play at PN-G, then there is going to be an uproar. He QUIT, period, end of sentence. Then he decides to transfer to the rival school? Are you kidding me? There are always a few players on each team who do not like or care for each other, but you learn to play as a TEAM and support your COACHES decisions.
No way UIL will let this kid play anywhere else this year unless he moves. You have to be a little more discreet than this. Kids do it all the time though, but it is from one year to another. I know of one kid close to this situation that went from one school to another for athletic reasons, Nederland had a catcher several years back that went to PNG for athletic reasons. It is nothing new, but won't work in the middle of the season. -
Things put in perspective by all the actions and class shown by all setx football fans and all. GOD BLESS ALL touched by this tragedy! Let us not forget we truly all are FAMILY!!!

Prayers from Port Neches to his family and all of our friends from West Orange.

I'd like to hear everyone's comments on these stats:
Matt Burnett's record his last 5 seasons at PNG, 2004 - 2008:
29 - 22 overall
2 - 2 playoffs
2 District or Co-District Championships
1 Losing Season

Miss Me Yet?
No, not yet!! -
PNG has been 6 times, won 3 lost 3. Won in 1953,1955,1975 and lost in 1954, 1977,1999.

Nederland should take this one easy. 35-14
I'll go with this score. -
Going to the deer lease.
-
Could be anyone at this time except Vidor. LCM looks tough but remember Central, Ozen and PNG have by far played the toughest schedules. All three of these teams losses were to teams that I believe would easily make the playoffs in our district.
-
Lumberton takes this one!
-
The only team I would put money on not making the playoffs right now is Vidor. Everything else is up for grabs. Not picking on Vidor, just don't see much.

Yeah this game was dumbfounding, cougs had 60 more yards than the Indians in the first half and 0 pts, Both first half scores were because of great field position (1 Cougs did to themselves, other good INT return.)
So whats your point? ::)
Third Quarter is when the game was put away. All NDNs in the 3rd!
AND the 4th!. The big chunk of Crosby's yards came off of our reserves. And, although they scored on 1 long pass on the "A" team, they weren't able to score on the reserves.
And this is by design, the Indians won most of their games last year and will win a lot of games this year in the third and fouth quarters. We do not have one kid that plays on both sides of the ball. The same as last year, we pull away from a lot of teams in the second half. -

Thanks for the warning.... ::)
Keep Doty upright, without him, I think your season might be in trouble. JMO
Doty is very valuable, but we have a back up that is very capacle. Hope he won't be needed, but led the JV very well last season. He's about the same size, and remember he is coached by a very good qb coach. As long as Faircloth is at PNG we will have good qb's.
