They agonized bad over the move with Matt , and they are not going to go through that to not go all the way through with doing the right thing. Matt has always had a good defensive scheme. As long as he had some good defensive ends and outside linebackers his defense was good. The scheme works if he has that.

Even if he don't go to one of the openings this year, he is a good coach and will land something bigger eventually. Kirbyville will still be ok as long as they can stay in 2A. We were in the same situation when we went from 5A to 4A. Call it what you want but our enrollment has went down and we are closer in numbers to the other 4A schools(Lumberton, Vidor , etc.).

The Cats will still be able to score as always. Good chance Coach Alvarez will leave. He has applied for other jobs.
