I think everyone understands that cost will go up. That has been established, and everyone gets it. I think what the people of Ned need to consider is by not doing the bond now, how much more will it cost in 5 years? 10? If this keeps getting kicked down the road the price tag will only go up. It’s pretty clear something has to be done to bring facilities up to par.

So I have read through this and it seems to boil down to this, for those of you just joining and don't want to read all 10 pages.
some people on here don't want new schools, new technology, or athletic facilities, for the students of Nederland because they believe the cost is too much, and/or they shouldn't have to pay because they don't have kids that go to school there any more. They also argue that the facilities were good enough for them why not good enough for the future.
the other group says the bond is over due, facilities are awful, and even illegal in regards to Accessibility for people with Disabilities for the stadium. They argue that classes are outdated, and overcrowded, and that the learning environment doesn't prepare students for the future in the best possible way. This group argues that the students deserve better and that the while it is expensive it will only get more expensive as time goes on.
there 10 pages down to two paragraphs,
your welcome.

are ya'll at liberty this week?

Looks like port Arthur memorial is looking good again, but they were missing a few field events are they just short this year or are they still hooping? Barbers hill surprised me finishing second as a team. On the boys side. Beaumont United looks good also. Overall I think it was a competitive first meet with some good teams.

is there a new thread for 18-19 season?

Unless a 'pipeline" is opened to Baytown and they strike "oil."
Two or three cat daddy's can make all the difference in the world.
its possible, the pipline had been from baytown to crosby but with Rio. most likely leaving maybe the line can head east.

Crazy to see that at the 6A level. I understand a small 2A or something having to do that, but not 6A Houston area.

Deep runs? I think they might want to start with just a SINGLE playoff win at some point. Like the good 'ole days just a few years ago on the Hill.
I just wish Sterling could make the playoffs 7-4 and first round loss to Manvel sounds a lot better than 2-8 from where I sit. good job BH, maybe at realignment in 2 seasons we will play y'all.

Interesting way to look at it.. What did Lee rush for again?
lol GCM trying to talk about run defense, I don't think any of us Baytown schools should be critiquing a playoff team. BH is 7-3 none of us (Baytown) have a winning record obviously they are doing something right that we are not. I don't think anyone expects BH to win but that doesn't mean they didn't have a great season.

he almost left this last summer he was offered the deerpark job and then decided to stay. If he almost left before all this i can easily see him leaving now.

The Lone Ranger Calvin Hill goes for 200 yards rushing and three scores in his final game of High School, but its not enough as Bruins take the Win. Its basketball time in Baytown.

You gotta go to CE King... so you can see your coach take his shirt off again after the game and walk off the field
I’ve seen that every week this year unfortunately, poor rangers have no shot every week. Most of the players are looking forward to basketball or track or baseball already.

My rangers are at C.E. King this week, So I think I am going to come watch this one instead. Where should I sit if I'm neutral?

District
Nederland. 5-0 Crosby, PNG
PNG. 4-1 BH,NED
Barbers Hill 4-1 PNG, Santa Fe
Santa Fe 3-2 Dayton, BH
Crosby 3-2 NED, Lee
Lee 1-4 Vidor, Crosby
Vidor 0-5 Lee, Dayton
Dayton 0-5 Santa Fe, Vidor
IF BH wins out and Ned Loses to Crosby and PNG. BH could win the DC, So now all three teams at the top have a legit chance to finish as the one seed with two games to play. This is better than Jerry Springer!. I'm enjoying watching this instead of my team (we have had a bad year. but Go Rangers!)
Nederland Bond PASSES!!!!

Except right now they are rolling around in a 70 ford that cost more to keep running than the vehicle is worth. Ex the truck is 4,000 but every year you have to replace the water pump, the brakes, the suspension, the transmission etc all needs work. Do you keep sinking money into the money pit or do you upgrade? As long as the bond money goes to a new school building in a cost effective manner. Where teachers and students are safe and provided a quality learning environment that will be a investment in Nederlands future I think people should support it. But that’s just my 2cents.
