That amount of applicants should provide some potential AD / Football HC candidates. Due diligence to seek out best candidates should be the goal.
That has every intention to stick around and build culture too should be the goal

maybe my math isn't the greatest but could you imagine what drelons numbers would've been getting close to the touches of nguyen? My pick is miller. He was consistently the best player on the field.

I think you have to continue to spread it out in Lumberton.
Now, do they have some TE/H Back type kids that you can run a power/counter run game?
I don't know, but I think you have to continue some semblance of what they have been doing offensively.
The qb was a willie ray smith finalist plus multiple year accolades...Probably won't see that again for a bit? For that reason they probably should go back to something more condensed and run oriented.

How will lumberton do against Lcm next year considering lumby is losing a lot of starters and Lcm is returning %85 of their starters
Why would just lcm matter? Lcm lost big with the OC leaving too.
And returning a secondary that got torched by trams they shouldn't have. Left alot to be desired.

In a 9 point game, 8 free throws is huge especially when your teams best free throw shooter gets probably 15 of those, while the other teams best free throw shooter gets zero attempts from the line.
This crap isn't hard to figure out and we shouldn't make it that way!
Funny how folks get amnesia and only tell parts of what they saw last night.
Basketball officials always catch flak from either side. No matter what the outcome is.

Please elaborate on the "Says the Vidor Fan... lol"
Hes saying you're not in any seat to speak about lumbertons normal ways when you're a vidor faithful who isn't in any place to speak as if Vidor is above anyone lol

What does that even mean?
I thought it was just a rumor BUT it was mentioned him wanting to head back north even after his first year.
He rode the wave and got off at the right time.

Hes smart. Lol lumberton board members craving wins more than vs longevity and culture

I'm with you man, and can't say I disagree. I think it was more of "Protect Your house" type of motivation. Every group of players are different, and at least in this case it did hype them up.
Great game either way. As advertised and Great atmosphere for the kids to be in. They earned that opportunity.

The negative comments were printed and hung by adults, not the kids. However, these players are Varsity young men, so negativity and being told they couldn't do something did fuel their fire. So, yes whatever it takes is right.
I understand. But I still think the opinions of us or our comments on a public sports forum mean notta. And probably shouldn't even be put to light in any high school locker room. Block the noise.

Yes ma'am, it was your previous comment above in bold that led me to believe you were from Kountze. Im sorry I have upset you, but this is a sports blog where a lot of things get said, where we all have to "turn the other cheek". The negative comments on this very blog were printed and hung (not by me and I had no knowledge until my son sent me a pic of it) on our players lockers as motivation! They were one of the biggest reasons they were so dialed in last night, so we thank the haters for that!
In my initial statement, notice I said, "To all the haters" and that showed who I was addressing, which wasn't you. It was simply to say that a challenge was issued, our boys accepted and delivered.
I do apologize for upsetting you ma'am, but please know I felt I was being as respectful as possible when talking about how proud we are of our team.
The fact high school kids are using forum posts (from most who's opinions are irrelevant anyway we're mostly a bunch of dads, moms and grandparents babbling) as motivation baffles me. "Hey look at the people on this forum"
like any of us are professional analysts.
I and some of the coaches i know would be teaching them to block out the noise not amplify it. But hey. Whatever works.

Breaux is pretty good.
Because offensive scheme only will dictate how good or bad orangefield will be lol learn something new every day.

You say that but with how kids transfer at the drop of a hat these days, hiring a coach based on his kid playing at the local university is not a sound way to hire.
But hes won so many games.😶

Same could be said of any coach that wanted to move to a bigger school.
Jenkins had a son that will be playing at Lamar, being at a school closer would have been ideal for him, I wouldn’t have seen him moving anytime soon.Idk anything about the situation. But hiring a job hopper in any profession is usually thought about and brought up.

Jenkins and Prouse have done all the interviewing they will ever need to do with their on the field success. Like I've said before, I wish Breaux all the luck, but if he got this job simply because the LLCA dads in town want to run a more wide-open offense, then Orangefield may wish they could have this one back.
I agree, however does any of that matter if jenkins only here for 2 years? I'd rule him out first just for that reason in my opinion.

Prouse and Jenkins on the list and they landed on Breaux. Interesting decision. I'll be curious to see how that works out for them.
Better interview?
