This is why I say that none of them should be allowed to do it. It opens up the potential for all kinds of crazy stuff.
Needs to be investigated and signed off on for the right reasons really.

But at least The Train & The Bears aren't looked on with the same repugnance and detest as the Bridge City Cardinals! 🤣
Here come 2 district slot t teams now

Nope. Definitely not.
Well these past 2 years lumberton damn sure made lcm better.

Y'all...LSM (Little Sister Mauriceville). My association with a school does not form my opinion. I coached a lot of pee wee flag though, and I slept at a Holiday Inn last night.
So does that mean lumberton is iron?

I never said that. In my opinion, you would've ended up right where you are playing even lesser teams than you played in pre-district play. 2nd place and out in the 1st round.
Iron does sharpen iron. Y'all are not iron. Iron wears away softer metal.
Who are you referring to as "y'all" and which school do you associate yourself with that which you form your opinion?

LC-M will have 3 non district games next year if the district has the expected 8 teams I listed. They can still keep those same three opponents.
Thank you for the clarification. With logic. Lol

Nobody mentioned HJ or Liberty.
You said, “Although we (lcm) benefitted from having wos, kinkaid, and lsss tougher opponents…”
What is the proof you benefited? In my opinion, our district is weak and no matter who you played pre-season you were going to come in 2nd based on y’all’s good coaches and decent athletes. Did the tougher pre-season help in the playoffs? Nope.
If you make a statement as fact, you have to be able to back it up with fact. The problem is you can’t.
Facts, we finished second place before the pre district games were even played?

Legacy school of sports science. (8-1 record) few D-1 prospects, coached by Michael bishop
Houston kinkaid (7-4 record) #2 ranked prep school
West orange stark - im not explaining this self explanation mauling that everyone knows about besides you....
Replacing any of those 3 with Liberty hj or bc even though already playing bc...... does not make them any better. Iron sharpens iron.

looking at your schedule I would think you could keep those game (on different weeks, if scheduling allows of course) liberty replaces Splendora other than you played the entire "new" district this season
I forgot splendora moving up. But that would likely mean someone replace them before the 2 chose to "opt up"

How can you qualify that?
As tougher than HJ or liberty? If you have to ask I can't help you with an answer.

There's a few people on here that are very adamant that playing a tough non-district doesn't matter if your district is weak lol 🤣
I think either side is of the argument is exaggerated, no coaching staff is is going to lose sleep about it. Line up and play the team across from you.
True. Although we (lcm) benefitted from having wos, kinkaid, and lsss tougher opponents

Most districts have 7-9 teams. Your district schedule begins earlier and you lose those non-district games.
So if this happens the leaders have to suffer if they wanted to keep tougher opponents.

Interesting.
With Bridge City's snapshot number, they will be going up to Division I. That leaves just Hamshire-Fannett, Jasper, Silsbee and West Orange-Stark in the current DII football district.
Shepherd most likely will be added to this district with their snapshot number moving them back to 4A DII but not 100% that will happen.
Looks like this local 4A DII district will only have 5 teams next two years. That means 6 non district games.
How would that work having that many district opponents? You lose 2 non district games? Great 2 more puppies in the puppy district

I dunno…. How fun would it be to take over another team and beat your old team that is still paying you 7m a year?
Yall better buckle up. Slot t army coming to BC again lol

I was using the other posters words as a basis to refute his own argument.
Regardless, LCM’s season is over, and in my opinion, the WOS RB wouldn’t have made a difference in LCM’s outcome.Having both that came available day 1 absolutely would have.. Thats why they ran into issues to begin with...
And with all do respect that statement merits 0 credibility because youre probably the only one that would say 2 WOS starters would not have made a difference at LCM.

needville hands down. this community is small and mighty. an excowrker son played for them a couple of years ago. also home of the LLWS team that went all the way
Hands down huh? Did you miss the scores needville vs huffman and Livingston? Lumberton should win by 2 scores here.

Well that small and mighty community team went 1-5 last year in district (since we’re bringing up previous history) and 1-4 the year before. I’ll take the Raiders.
Hopefully their little league keeps doing well in baseball. 🤪
Speaking of. LCM sr tackle team playing in the "LL super bowl this weekend did they contact you to announce thr game?

Moral to the story:
1. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side
2. Don’t abandon your team or your teammates
Yes, and if you play for the blue and silver you can...., then just come back and start again under the new regime'...
My only hope was... he didn't tell the kids he would sign their transfers, then leave them hanging when it came to pen and paper.. but. We see what kind of message he sends......and its water under the bridge.

I guess so. It never was 42-7 for 1. It was 35-14 before they threw the hail Mary at the end of the 1st half. They were subbing on their defense from the first series. Nothing changed that way the entire game.
I assure you. They had their 2s in in the 3rd

Either way I got lumberton all the up to Kilgore. Lol

Well one of the programs just finished a season where for the 1st time in school history had 3 winning seasons in a row and made the playoffs all 3 years while all the while returning 95% of the roster. The other was the winningest program in Texas by % and has had back to back losing seasons. Tough question to answer though.
He knows the answer, he's been smashing his keyboard after lcm win since peevy got there.
